I would first find out if the seller was a flipper, and if it turned out that the pony was from a childhood collection, I'd send half the money back. Why half? I don't know, that just seems fair to me. Better than keeping all of it anyway. I'm not sure if I could bring myself to send back the entire amount, considering that I have bills to pay too. People have a much harder time giving up money when it's cash in hand.

I think circumstances of how and where you bought the pony are a big thing - pony flipper or someone selling a childhood collection...someone on the Arena or an anonymous seller on ebay. I can see it from all angles...I like to think I would feel so guilty that I would return it.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I would feel too guilty to keep it.

 I would write the seller.

I would write the seller and offer to send it back... if it was maybe $10 I'd probably keep it, but $300 is a lot of money and I'd feel guilty keeping it. :(

I would contact the seller for sure!

I bought something online from a US company, and there was a mix up with my order.  They sent me my whole order twice!  I wrote to them to let them know, and they told me I could keep it.  I got to be Santa Claus, and pass out gift to my friends =)
