Cute Husband Moment

So my husband and I are moving and the whole ordeal has been one disaster after another since December. Everything said and done, we didn't get a place to live until today. 


My husband had to go to the city we're moving to on Tuesday, while I am still at our apartment packing and caring for our zoo. He called me this morning to tell me he signed the lease for our new place and then he says, "Hey. I got a present for you. The neighbors were having a garage sale and guess what I found? Ponies."


Yep. My husband in all his manliness went to the garage sale next door and looked for ponies. Then he called me on the phone in the middle of public and started describing their cutie marks to me (he has a crappy flip phone, so no pictures) so that I could identify the ponies he had purchased for me. Ha ha!


After I identified them, he said, "I got you some ponies so that our new house will feel like home." D'aww!


For the curious cats, I identified the 3 ponies as 2005 McDonald's Pinkie Pie (he knows who she is!), 2005 McDonald's Butterscotch & Rainbow Flash (not sure which set/pose).


Anyone else got an "Aww!" story of husbands being awesome?

Awwww.....You have a very sweet hubby. 


My hubby is always supporting my mlp and mh hobby, because he wants me to have something that is fun and calming in my stressful little world, and he is planning on building me more shelves once we have more space and I can have my own pony room.  He even looks around in the bb box at labels with me for who I need, as well as searching for them at garage sales.  He has yet to find any, but he wants to.  =] 


It's it so nice to have hubbys that care about our hobby and passions?

When G4s first came out, I was scouring the shelves for Fluttershy every time we went to the store.  One day, he comes home from work and had run an errand on the way home.  He opens up the bag and produces a Fluttershy for me!  Not only did he search her out on his own, but he remembered the colors of the one I wanted and picked her out.

That's awesome, yay for cute husbands!  My husband is also loves toys, so not only does he understand but he really helps me find ponies/re-ment/Sylvanians..etc, to the point where I start worrying about space!  When MercyNova and her friend was visiting, he took us to all the G1 resale haunts.. He brings out the worst in me ^^

How sweet of him.    My husband is supportive, but I think going out and actually buying one terrifies him, lol!  I think he knows since I've got so many, it's a slim chance he'll pick one up I don't have.  But I don't mind - I'm glad he tries to remember their names.

Aw! I have a wife (to be) and when we moved, she insisted that we display a few artfully display a few. She said "we should put OUR ponies out."

So sweet!  What a good man you got there:).  I think it's very telling when your sig.other goes out if their way for you.  Congrats on the new place and welcome to the Arena!!  It really is the most loving and wonderful spot on the Internet!!!!

When G3's were in stores, hubby used to pick one out for me every time we shopped together at Wal-mart.

He also takes a HUGE interest in my customs - he suggests color combos, looks up pictures online for pony design ideas, and even buys me random Hallmark cards just because "that design would look great on a pony"

You're all quite right - I have a great guy and I'm keeping him. He's so accepting of my quirks and whims and it just makes me giddy with delight that he takes a mild interest in my MLP addiction. He plays Magic the Gathering, so he understands what it's like to have an obsession that might not be up-to-par as far as society is concerned. Plus he gets a good laugh whenever he catches me hiding in the pony aisle at Wal-Mart, red-faced and indecisive.
