Babyzillas?

I wanted some information on Babyzillas.
My boyfriend and I went to a local flea market and found a rather large fakie.  We dug it out of a box because it had a pony-esque face, except the eyes are off and it has a serious receding hairline.  We dumped it in his big ol' box of fakies that we have mostly for customization/experimentation.
Then I saw a picture of a Babyzilla online, and it looked a lot like our weird fakie.
Now, I'm like 95% sure this thing isn't a Babyzilla.  But just in case....  How can you tell a Babyzilla from a fakie?  What are its defining characteristics?  What different kinds were made?  Really, I just want to know more or less what they are and what is the deal with them.  Thank you!

The right one is the fakie - I think the difference is obvious, she has a different muzzle, looks more like a camel lol =)

I think the one we have has a snout that looks more like the real ones....
But the eyes are a lot different than any of those!  They look really odd, I don't quite know how to describe them.

Still, what's the deal with Babyzillas?  Where do they come from?  What are they worth?  Why do they look the way they do?
