I don't think I'm allowed to link to the site where I found this out, but Equestria Girls toys are going to be in Happy Meals sometime this year. There isn't an official date yet though, and they aren't the next toys, but there are images of Applejack, Fluttershy, and Twilight Sparkle so far.

cool can't wait to see them. i never go to McD's but my kids will be happy for me to find an excuse to go there :lol:

My brothers are both salary managers at McDonalds. I'll have them keep an eye open since I'll want these, and i'll see if either of them know anything about this / can tell us anything as the time gets closer. I'm not 100% sure how much / whether they know anything about the happy meal toys, but it can't hurt to check. :)

Well they actually did at first but then someone else removed our links. Ah well. I'm excited for these. But sadly the last Happy Meal Toys didn't reach the Netherlands. Hopefully they will this time! I'm also curious if we will see more girls. Hope they include Rarity of course.

I won't get my hopes up for the UK getting these as McDonalds haven't released any of the other pony toys :mad: I'm interested to see who else they release, and what Twilight looks like out of that bag...

I know some people are going to throw fakies at me (dodges lol) but these are the first EQG I actually really like (not a fan of the doll line-but these minis are adorable) May have to get when they come out! Ok.. and I may have to own the upcoming Flash Sentry doll..

I thought I would hate these but I actually love these... :blush:
But that's been my whole ordeal with EqGirls in general, the FiM community got me into the mindset I'd hate everything about it but I ended up loving it to pieces.

I haven't been big on the EQ Dolls (plus would need more space for them), not big on dolls in general, but they are kinda neat in their own way and MLP-related, so for me these are a nice compromise (and not expensive).

My daughter will like these as she really likes the Equestria Girls line (maybe even better than the ponies :cry:) but as ever I'm not a big fan of them.

Yes! I think it's the eyes that get me, not even so much that they aren't ponies. I did see a new Fluttershy EQG that had really nice eyes though so maybe they'll improve on this front.

There were actual ponies of Twily, Fluttershy, and Pinkie. The way they are appearing at the same time as the dolls has me suspect that we are getting 4 ponies and 4 dolls this time.

The toys came out today at the McDonald's I work at. There is an equestria girls version and a pony version (two different toys) with little designs on the pony and it comes with a comb to brush the tail of the pony. I think they made Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack, Fluttershy, and Twilight. I was a little upset that there was no Rarity since she's my favorite. I'm glad that Apple Jack made it in the bunch. One of the good things about working at McDonald's is that when you're putting the toys together (adding them to boxes or bags and stacking them up in the bin) you get first dibs on toys. I am just going to get the pony version, I don't like the way the equestria girls version looks.
Also, unlike the MLP's which were released before these do not come with coupons, only the combs and a mcplay app. code.

I just got all 8 toys today. The Equestria Girls ones definitely look different from the real dolls and the movies, but I think they're cute.

I got Pinkie Pie as a pony today. Didn't know they had more than one in at a time (that was what I heard from people I knew who worked at McDs during previous releases). I just happened to go to McDonald's today and saw the sign and was excited! Gonna get more tomorrow.

It seems to vary tremendously from McDonald's to McDonalds how many different ponies they have at a time and how many they'll let you buy. Who your cashier is and how busy the place is may also play a role...
I think I'll be passing on these. I did get the full sets the last two times, plus a Celestia from the year before, but I haven't felt too attached to them lately and probably the main thing stopping me from getting rid of most of them is how little they always sell for.

We bought the complete "Customer Appreciation" set today that has all 8. (no food required!) You might want to ask your local Mcds if they have these sets. With all 8 mlp and 8 robots it came to $35. lil sticker shock, but got them all!

Yeah the G3 25th Anniversary set I bought two complete sets right off the top and it cost me almost $30 dollars!
Though i noticed with the Barbie toys I collected this time, depending on the cashier I paid as little as $1.50 total for TWO! So it might actually be cheaper to shop around!
Not real thrilled with them, but I collect the MLP sets PERIOD so I kinda have to get these. Plus they make great travel toys for the car!

Stopped at McDs tonight in North Ogden UT to get a drink and noticed that they had the boxes made up for the Pony Happy Meals even though their toy display was still on the last toy ("Home" I think?). Didn't get any toys because I'm not sure I want them, but if anyone else is interested, they're here.

I emailed to ask, and even pointed out that the US has had SEVERAL pony releases since G4, and they said it's a no :mad: It wouldn't be so bad but we didn't get the Burger King ones either!

I was at McDonald's today and they told me they're only getting one in at a time and all they had so far was the EG Applejack. I ended up passing on her. I only really want the two versions of Fluttershy and maybe the pony Twilight. I'm also planning on getting both the Pinkies for my niece since she loves Pinkie Pie.

Me: Oh lunch time! Time to go see if the ponies are now at McD's. *clocks out and heads over to one of the two. Gets Pinkie Pie Pony and EQG Pinkie when asked for 2 toys* Yay! Now to hit the other tomorrow and see who they might have ^-^

Me: *clocks out for lunch, heads over to the other Mcd's. Gets her food and toys. Finds out she got 2 Pinkie Pie Ponies* ;~;
Our McD's noramlly doesn't specify which ones they have, you have to take a chance and I don't have time to ask which ones they do have

I started thinking about all the trouble I usually go through to get Happy Meal toys and decided to just check eBay. I bought the whole set for less than $20 including shipping. I figure it's worth it since I'm saving on gas from all the trips to the only one of our local McDonald's that will actually check which ones they have for you without getting an attitude (the one closest to my house is awful) plus I can't go in there and not order something. I mean, I know I can, but I feel weird not ordering anything. So I usually just get a shake or a Frappe. But I don't need all those extra calories, so I figured eBay was the best route. Plus, now I don't have to worry about missing out on one.

Does anyone know the order of the releases, or the numbers for each pony?
(ie. Pinkie as a pony is toy #1, Pinkie as a doll is toy #2, then Twilight, AJ, etc?)

My preferred McDonalds only had Twilight (both human and pony) and I got her pony. I got by there on a weekly basis (addicted to their sweet tea lol) so hopefully i can get the other three ponies before they are all gone.
How long has these been out? I am guessing its only the first week-ish since pony Twily is #3.

I found two EqG AJs and one EqG Pinkie. I think AJ is 6, but don't quote me on that. Really I just want the actual ponies, but the EqGs look better in person than I thought.

I've only ever bought full sets in the past; how do you go about buying the toys individually if you only want one or two specific ones rather than the whole set?

when you go to McDonalds, ask them (preferrable when it isnt during a rush time like lunch, and definately go inside the restraurant) which of the MLP/ Girls toys do they have. They should look and show you which toys they have, although they might try to just pick/show one of them. Afterwards just tell them you only want to buy the toy.
You could also just buy them individually on ebay if you really wanted to.

I only have the pony in-hand, I'm quite happy with her mold. I don't collect Twilight anymore, only a very few items of her but this one I'm keeping :D
Hope to have the entire set if I'm lucky.

I got mine right when they came out, but I had to go to a couple of McDonald's until I found someone who was willing to go out of their way to dig me up a whole set from the back, lol.
Oddly, Applejack seems to be the only one of the EQGs with any articulation below the neck.

I've used sticky tack on some of my Littlest Pet Shop to help them stand. I imagine it might be helpful for these EQG that are having trouble standing.
