You know, not all plush makers are super fantastic amazing. I don't think this is a Hasbro plush because, like someone said, it has no tags or anything. Plus he's got his show accurate apron on. I don't think Hasbro knows Spike has a pink apron. If someone had posted this on the customs forum stating that they had made it, no one would be insulting it then. I for one think this plush looks like a lovely first attempt. Heck, if I were to make Spike first time, he'd probably look worse than that!

But if this is a Hasbro plush, disregard everything I said :L

I saw this on my saved search and scrolled right on past because I just assumed it was a custom. Being carried by more than one shop would make me think it's legit... but then no tags or label? It must be fake, I don't think it's legal to manufacture a toy like that without some kind of small parts/flammable warning, plus HB would need their copyright and everything on there so at the very best they must be bootlegs..? :/


Unless there's a label and it's not visible in the photos. Either way, it's an odd choice for a plush. If whoever manufactured it knew enough about the show to include Spike's apron then you'd think they'd make Rainbow Dash or someone who'd sell like crazy. Maybe there are more on the way?

Hmmm....now this is an interesting one...

1) Being carried by more than one ebay store
2) Both stores have multiple of the item and are listing them as multiple listings which much mean the product is "identical" enough from plush to plush that they will get away with this
3) Both sellers are in CHINA!!!
4) Both sellers carry a range of similar plush products [along with their other items] covering everything from Puss in Boots to the Smurfs [most of which appear to have their tags and are genuine items]

As he is an ugly little thing I hope he isnt real BUT I dont think this is a custom, I actually dont think this is a fakie either...personally pony peeps I wouldnt be surprised if this one is legitimate!

That's all pretty valid points but gosh I still hope that abomination is not the 'real deal'. Hasbro would truly hit rock bottom with that one in terms of 'quality product design'. :E

Oh I am completely in agreement with you...a little product design goes a long way...

The lack of tags on the product, the random apron and the really really poor styling does make me hope that its just an elaborate fakie from a China factory....

I don't know, the official baby Spike plush looks much more accurate and better quality. I'm suspicious this may be bootleg since they're all coming from China, but I guess if Hasbro starts releasing these, we'll know soon enough.

Hmm, I dunno.  I think with a little less ears, and smaller arms, he'd look pretty darn awesome!  Even without smaller arms, just a little less ears would suffice to make it a great plushie (in my personal opinion).

Ohhh he's being sold by multiple Chinese sellers, all using the same photo? Well that does change things!

I'm going to guess bootleg from China then, rather than personal custom. I just don't see this as being quality enough to be an official Hasbro product.
