Totally agreed! And it's so easy to impersonate other people online, too, especially popular figures. The argument doesn't hold water IMO (although it tends to come up in discussions about privacy online and off) because it's just a fallacious argument to try and get people to hand over their privacy for fear of looking shady, when in reality privacy is such an important right, and one we have to fight for even if we aren't "the bad guys" that a lack of privacy is supposed to protect us from. I shouldn't have to tell people my real name or give a photograph in order to discuss my feelings about Hasbro's oversaturation of the Mane Six in the repro toylines!

Taffeta, it's really scary and sad to hear your story, and I'm glad that it sounds like that person was eventually found out in the end, and you didn't give up on ponies entirely. I've seen people get bullied out of the fandom (or at least the public parts of the fandom, like the forums) by some really nasty behavior over my many years reading and posting. And it's totally understandable, but also so sad, that people could be bullied away from enjoying something that's so sweet and relatively harmless like MLP. (I always hope they can continue to enjoy MLP in private, since you don't really need a group of fans to buy toys you like!) That said, I have seen some of the same behavior from faux-popular folks, similar to your example of customizers, who sometimes attract a bit of a cadre of fans willing to White Knight for them to the point of harassment. It's definitely an issue in the G4 fandom on a larger scale, but unfortunately we're not immune to it on the G1/vintage collector side of things. It's wild to me, because at its peak, the G4 fandom could have several hundred to low thousands of people who were fans of a 'famous' artist or musician; but in the vintage fandom, aren't we talking about more like a couple dozen fans, at most? And that's worthy of going to battle for? That's so silly to me! It kinda helps to put things in perspective, even though it only takes one 'crazy' fan to make you afraid for your safety, as your example illustrates.

I'm wondering how we figure out which ponies sold over here were made with poly and which were not (basically I can't get at 90% of my G3 at the moment, so I can't just go through and do the hair wash test, not that I'm brave enough to do it!) Some of my G3 also did come from the States so I don't know if they were in bonus packs or if they weren't. I can't remember if I had Petal Blossom and Rainbow Flash with the babies or the babies separately...but all those ponies are currently wrapped up in acid free tissue and stored away.

I've never had the Avon ponies but I also remember them being the first and it was a long time ago they were flagged. But I hadn't realised so many that I consider regular release ponies here may have had bonus releases over there...

I have December Poinsettia in box and I intend to keep her there...but it is making me hesitate about wanting to acquire any more of that set if they might be at risk down the line. They are a bit expensive.

The only pony right now that I know has this issue is actually a G1 Butterscotch, probably a Mail Order though I am not 100%...whose hair was full of conditioner and so dried up and is now so delicate I cannot brush her, or even put her in the cupboard. She's lived by my sink for the last decade or so. Since I am presuming G1 Butterscotch had nylon hair, I'm wondering whether products used on ponies has had any impact on hair breakage (speeding it up) in G3.

I was thinking about that skipped game in Daiya too.  I wonder if they will do something similar to the recap episodes at the beginning of season 2, where characters are talking about the game and the animation is showing clips/highlights of important moments?  That's just my theory though. 

I figure it's going to take quite a while to get everything together and get the series ready to air.  I know Eijun's va and Nori/Zeno's va among others in the cast always seem to have new roles in different animes so I'm factoring in that some of the vas might have current roles to complete before they can record new dialogue for their Daiya characters.

Speaking of va's I think I've gotten better at recognizing Eijun's.  Although a lot of his other characters should like an older Eijun to me.

Out of curiosity I looked up how long the first finals game took to finish in the anime and it looks like was 13 episodes.  I can't imagine how long it will take the next final game to be.

 I don't remember how long that last game took in the manga, but I remember it took many, many months. 

Maybe I need to rewatch Daiya....

I'm hoping I can catch up on some animes soon.
