Truly a pony rescue operation. They are the lucky ones whose uplifting story will inspire other ponies.

I feel like Dancing Butterflies has an overwhelming amount of bright yellow going on. Perhaps if her hair were a different color? I know I've seen at least one rehair of her that was dazzling.

Hmm! All that yellow is absolutely my favorite thing about this pony. Love the monochromatic look in many of the G1s.

I think Majesty deserves a more majestic symbol/design. What are those blue things supposed to be, anyway?

I'd like to echo the sentiments on reining in the duplicate pony issues. How many pinkie pies does one person need? It's like that Simpsons episode where all the girls wanted the new Malibu Stacy doll because she had a hat...

Yes symbols on both sides! Taf too! So soft would also be amazing.

And let's hear it for ponies and matching babies! I love those guys! No more "little sister", it's cute, but what's wrong with having a mom?

Pony Corral / Re: how to display g1's

I display my G1s adults by year, with the exception of princess ponies, flutters, and windy/summer wings- these all get special treatment. I love displaying them on long shelves for impact. Sometimes I highlight different collections, such as having the sundae best ponies in the SSSS.

Pony Corral / Re: Cleaning porcelains?

I use a very gentle toothbrush/soap/water. If there are still tags or stickers on your piece you will want to keep them dry by titling the piece so that water does not flow over them.

I have cleaned six porcelain pieces in this way.

It's called the Pony Room, but it's only about 5' x 5'. The walls are pink, the trim is purple, and it is a dedicated space for displaying ponies (G1, G2, G3, G4, and some buildings)- no guest room or craft table. I'd like it to be considerably larger, then I could display plushies and other merch, and I'd love to display my vintage LPS.

Introductions / Introduction- New to arena, from Twin Cities

Hello!

I remember my first pony- Starshine. My sister's was Parasol. Our collection grew over many Christmases and birthdays, until it reached epic proportions of approximately 35 ponies (yes, thirty-five. When we were kids we thought this was huge).  Then in high school I discovered flea markets. This is still my favorite place to go! I wasn't really into G2, or later G3, but as the G1 population dwindled at the markets, and I didn't want to go home empty handed, I eventually started collecting G2, G3, and now G4. I now have 396 ponies (G1, USA), a decent sized herd that I figure is 75% complete. I don't know how many of the other generations. Bunches, I guess.

On a side note, I used to think that the G2s were abominations. My sister and I had fun coming up with stories on why they looked so unappealing- usually involving pony plagues and mutations- however, the Ugly Trophy now rests with the the G3.5s, imho.

And now the boring stuff: My name's Sarah (ponyqueen here and on Ebay- (which I'm increasing disappointed with/haven't bought off there in a decade/only use it for pony research and I'm not talking price guide). I'm 31, and live in Minnesota. I like long walks on the beach and my dream is to visit Flutter Valley.
