Title: Malware warning on avatar/sig
Post by: Taxel on August 31, 2016, 03:25:11 PM
The first time I had this warning pop up earlier I just kind of brushed it off since I didn't see what it said. But on a refresh it popped up again.

I don't know whose avatar or sig is causing it. I know the page its on but its a freshly locked topic so I don't want to step on any toes linking it around.

Edit: It also happened here (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,381715.30.html).

Well I went to the topic you added at the end there and I don't see anything  Do you have any anti-virus software you could use to do a quick scan on your computer?

Nothing's been coming up for me, either, and I haven't changed my avatar or sig since the last time I was around - hopefully it's just that your software doesn't recognize a certificate or something else simple and benign.

I tracked it down, it looks like someone's siggy image is not longer online, but they still have a link. So maybe the dead URL is triggering your warning.
I've moved it off and let the member know, let me know if it still comes up.

That's probably what it was. Neither of the threads have the warning popping up anymore. Thanks Kiwi!

Well done tracking it down, Kiwi! And Taxel, lol, your software must be crazy sensitive!
