Sometimes a seller includes the shipping materials charge in their total shipping price. To pay for the box/envelope (which can be pricey), bubble wrap/packing material (also very pricey), tape, labels, etc. that was used to ship the item safely. That might be their reasoning?

I was also obsessed with horses growing up, and MLP naturally followed. ^__^ I was an early 80s child, and knew nothing about the cartoons because we were a country family living out in the boonies and never even had a TV until I was around 12, so my love was built on the original G1 toys alone. Could rarely afford the ponies new (except when Grandma visited for the holidays, hee), so most of my lovelies were found in second-hand thrift stores or gifted from friends. But I was sure to always save the pony points from those I did get new, and send in for the G1 mail-order ponies! Some of my fondest memories.

It wasn't until I moved out on my own and rediscovered my box of G1s lovingly packed away in a box under my bed that my passion for collecting really got going, though! As an adult with a job, I could suddenly afford to buy any pony I wanted but could never have as a child (though most still took some planning and saving for), and that passion hasn't waned in the years since. It really is just so much heartwarming fun, and all my ponies still make me smile every day.
 
Blossom has always been my original fav! I have a whole bookcase with three shelves dedicated to just her. I can totally understand your affection for Bowtie, though, she is quite adorable, and one of my childhood ponies, too. But Blossom was my first, and so, my dearest. <3

Box is in good condition, minor shelf wear, some dirt marks. The plastic window has yellowed/darkened slightly with age. There is an inward dip of the plastic in places near the top, bottom and sides (please see photos). Pony is complete with all accessories and NRFB.

-Euro release Pony Bride MIB
$350 $300 OBO:
A rarer UK release variant I have not seen turn up often! The plastic window of her box is in fragile shape, with some creases and a long split along the top (tried to get good photos of it.) The box is a little warped from age, some shelf wear and creases. Pony has acquired a bit of a "mustache" dirt from her lip touching the plastic window. She is complete with all accessories and NRFB.

-Euro release Bridal Beauty MIB

One of the prettiest brides and packaging in my opinion! So much unique artwork, and I love this bubblegum shade of pink. <3 Box is in lovely shape, some minor creasing, corner dings and shelf wear. Plastic window has a creased indent in the top right. Pony is complete with all accessories and NRFB.

-Euro/France release Wedding Bells MIB

French packaging Confetti/Wedding Bells. Next to Novia, she was the hardest for me to find! Box is in great shape, a slight crease along the top flap, and some minor shelf wear. The plastic window is a little fragile, has a few dents, a crease and a split near the top (please see photos). Pony is complete with all accessories and NRFB.

-Argentina Novia/Truly MIB
$800 $700 OBO: The rarest Nirvana gem of my collection! Her box has been opened and is a little damaged at the corners--please see photos. The plastic window has come unsealed from the top, and there are some edge tears to the top right and middle box edges (someone taped the worst two back together). Her comb and ring are placeholders from another pony bride set, but everything else is original! I've never seen another in-box Novia like her before, so I was honestly uncertain how to price her.

Bride Satin 'n Lace: Pink/lavender version. Hair is silky, eyes and symbols are in great shape, some tiny fleck marks on her body. Outfit has some staining (may wash out--I have not tried washing anything) and is missing the shoes. Garter elastic is a little stretched.
Groom Tux 'n Tails: Missing bowtie. Hair is a little dry at ends, but still silky. Eyes and symbols are in great shape, mild blush rub on right cheek. There are small brown marks and some discoloration to his body in places, please see photos.
Lucky: Complete with bowtie (elastic is a little stretched). Some tiny flecks and slight brown discoloration spots around his neck and face.
MO Pamphlet: A little worn, torn at the bottom on the last foldout, but not missing any sections.

G1 Pillowtalk is in great shape, some dirt on hooves, a few small brown spots and mild discoloration in places (see photos!) She comes with a "slumber party" themed display including the pajamas, night cap, blanket and plate of cookies from the G1 Milk 'n Cookies ponywear set, the pony popcorn tin from the G1 Slumber Party set, and a pink plastic (Barbie?) couch made by Mattel. Selling as a bundle only! (Though if you *really* do not want the couch, I can leave that out and take $10 off the price, but I think she is so cute posed on it!)

G1 DEFLOCKED SS Angel with a custom matching baby. Angel's eyes and symbols are beautiful (her fish have had some touchups), some near-imperceptible blush rub on her right cheek. Mild discoloration and glue residue on body. Hair is slightly dry at the ends, but still silky. She has no trouble standing, as I’ve seen with other Angels. Baby has some tiny fleck marks overall and a small pinhole by her symbol on the right side. Hair and eyes are perfect, symbols are gorgeous. I’m uncertain of her original artist, but the quality is some of the best I've ever seen!
I have dearly loved these beauties for a decade now, and I think I am (reluctantly) ready to part with them now.

She has some issues--her head is loose, she's had a bad mane-cut, and there are some overall minor pindot marks and two black spots on her left back leg. Her eyes and symbols are beautiful! Her tail is a replacement, but she comes with her original tail, and likes to wear it cleverly disguised with a barrette as an extension of her mane. Open for offers if my asking price is way off for her condition?

She's a flawed girl in need of some love. Hair is silky but obviously cut. Eyes and symbols are great, head/body color is slightly mismatched. Glue residue on body from wings being glued back in place, and her right wing is a bit bent and scuffed up.
