Does anyone know where I can find clear, detailed pictures of the following G5 ponies' symbols? My Google-fu is weak. Sugar Moonlight - I'm pretty sure there was a fairly good look at it in one of the most recent episodes! It wasn't clear to me in the first movie. Thunder/Green Guard Misty (I know its just a fake one for now but still!) I don't have Netflix or I would just do the screenshots myself. But I'm hoping someone out there has already done such a thing! Or possibly might be willing to do such a thing >.>

After going through my entire life without ever doing a halloween customs swap, this year I did TWO! One was a private one with a "real life" friend and one was for the Arena swap. I've been wanting to do a carousel-esque pony for a while now, so I decided to try that for my private swap. I used Apoxie Sculpt. Painting the spiderweb blanket was the funnest part, it was much easier than I expected - luckily I thought to paint the white first, heh heh. Not sure if you can tell, but the dark thing on her chest is a bat... visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis one was for the Arena simple swap. She has some fine gold glittery paint on the pumpkins and on the text on her reverse side, and her eyes have fine glittery red paint on the iris. My partner said she liked the old timey vintage Halloween style, so I triiiiiied to emulate that. She has a kitty friend who is just a Schleich cat with a minor adjustment to the tail and a paint job. I went through about a dozen different hair color/pattern choices before finally deciding on this somewhat wacky stripe look visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIn conclusion I enjoyed my first halloween swap experiences!

I've always made my own rooting needles. For the most part I'm happy with them, but I know several places sell them and have always wondered if they are smoother or in some way better than my homemade ones. Have you bought rooting needles somewhere that were particularly good? Are they all just regular needles with the eye snipped open, or do some places sell ones that are manufactured AS rooting needles? Thanks for any info!

Back when I joined the forum around 2014, I remember seeing reference to something like "random acts of pony kindness" or "random pony acts of kindness," something like that. But I don't remember ever finding out what exactly that meant. With the 20th anniversary thread going, it made me think about those days and I was curious to know!

Official Hasbro ponies have been made with Christmas and Easter themes, and there were birthday ponies of course. These represent pretty major, widely celebrated holidays in the western world at least so they make sense - they could be sold in multiple regions/counties/continents. Recently, HQG1C made Hanukkah and fourth of July ponies! What if you could have a pony made for any holiday celebrated in your region or nation or religion? I'm gonna go super-specific: in my hometown region there is a paw-paw festival every year (it's a native midwest American fruit tree), and I think a paw-paw festival pony would be pretty cool I'm thinking a pale yellow G3 pony with a few shades of green hair and maybe dark pink eyes, with paw-paw fruit symbol. For some reason I want her to be in the donkey pose! Accessories could be a straw hat and a basket of paw-paws. Surely you can think of something better than that What are your ideas?

We've seen many ponies that featured animals, from mammals like cats and mice to birds (looking right at you, Mimic!) and even insects like butterflies and dragonflies. But there are many creatures that have never made it onto a(n official Hasbro) colorful plastic pony rump!
What animal would you like to have seen featured on a pony? What generation? Any special feature you would like to see for that pony? Or maybe it is an animal that has been on a pony but you would present it in a different way?
I will start - I would love to see a lobster-themed twinkle eye G1 pony!

I finally shelled out for someone I've been wanting ever since I knew he existed - Baby Leafy the calf. So glad to finally have this cutie! I got him and his pony companion, Baby Lucky Leaf. Here they are together, and Baby Leafy with the custom mommy Heelys made for me, Lady Leafy. Lucky Leaf is missing his tail, so I'll be giving him a replacement in the future. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I purchased a rainbow reveal Sunny to customize, but I'm stumped regarding tail access. Does anyone know if the tail is just pushed in through the tail-hole and glued in there? Or do you access it through the neck? It seems like her body is solid so I doubt if it is the latter, but maybe?
Also: wow, the hair quality on the mane is awesome, I almost can't bear to cut it off to prep her ;_;

Inspired by a radio show I was listening to earlier, can you change one letter in a pony's name to make a new name/character?
Start with the pony's given name, and then: Add one letter OR Remove one letter OR Change one letter
Pony names in any language are welcome
I'll start: Strawberry Reef -> Strawberry Ref Strawberry Ref just loves summertime, for two reasons: her favorite fruit ripens, and she can join her friends to play games out in the fields every day. She is a stickler for the rules so she usually ends up as referee rather than player in their games!

Yes, I've been wanting to make her since I first saw her, and finally I "finished" her! She's rehaired with a G1 Moondancer tail, plus white and pink DollyHair. I didn't try to replicate her hairstyle since it was so short. She's painted with acrylics and has burgandy and white microglitter on her face. Overall I'm pleased with her, although I think think I made her red/burgandy paint color too purply. Maybe I'll make another of her and try to fix that visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginYou might notice that she doesn't have a symbol/cutie mark - hence why I said I "finished" her. I didn't feel like I could tell what it looked like well enough to paint it on. So I figure I'll add it later if we ever get a better view of it. Each generation has its own challenges as far as bait prep, and these guys are no exception. Prying the belly piece out is very difficult, as is cutting the head-ring out. But I do like the ability to move the head on the ball joint instead of just rotating it.

I've been thinking about branching out in my pony-purchasing, specifically using Mercari. Do you use Mercari? What are its pros and cons? Anything I should watch out for? I'm familiar with eBay, Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace, but I understand that it is different from all of those...
Thanks for any tips.

Looking for details on Sugar Moonlight! Specifically, her coat color, hair colors, and cutie mark/symbol. It looks to me like she is white...or silver/gray, or very light purple? Almost like G1 Pillowtalk. Her hair looks to me like it is red with white and maybe light pink streaks. As for her symbol, I have no idea what it is supposed to be! I just can't tell for sure on any of these, but I also don't have Netflix so I'm going off a few screencaps (and the lighting in the "show" scene is making it hard to see the colors accurately). Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any info

Like many, I'm sure, I've been wondering about the future of the G5 toyline. Which of these two directions would you prefer it was taken? Many would probably want to say "both" ...but if you had to pick, which would you choose? Maybe comment on why you feel that way?

I'm eager to get some of the new brushables to try customizing them (probably the unicorn party set). I have a few plans already in mind for when I have "free time" again, like giving Sunny her leg markings, making Argyle, Alphabittle, etc. But I'm wondering, do we have a sense of how rare these will be in the future? I still feel bad about customizing a Feathermay, but at the time I customized her she was just...what was in the store, and didn't seem rare. Maybe there is no way to know, but I don't feel like I have my finger on the pulse of toy scarcity, at all, so I'm asking all of you for your thoughts

I saw this on a Transformers website, but here is the press release: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20211012006149/en/He was only 58, apparently he had been battling cancer. He was the executive producer for the new MLP movie...I hope he saw it as a success before he passed (maybe he had more important things on his mind though). RIP
