Ever After High Discussion Thread!

I'm hoping they use the same body mold as MH dolls, so I can swap clothes and shoes between dolls.

Do you know which silhouette possibly belongs to which character?

From left to right:
1. from Royal or Rebel? (Is your destiny a thorn in your side?) Briar Rose I'd wager.
2. from Village of Bookend (Live each day like you might fall asleep tomorrow for 100 years.) Sleeping beauty, obviously.
3. from Rewrite Destiny (Are you destined to be a Royal?) Queen of Hearts maybe?

I'm leaning towards no, given that my toy money is limited.  But it depends on what the toys look like - if there's something I desperately want, I'll get it, but on the understanding there will be other toys I'll have to pass on.

Hehe, I will have to see what they look like. I know if they look net enough though they will more than likely replace my MH dolls.

What drew me into MH was the themes, the clever design of the fashions and accessoires and the great posability.
If they will look anything like MH I will most likely be getting some.

But just like MH I won't be a completionist. I will just buy the dolls that look best to me (and I'm biased when it comes to fairy tales, I will probably not want the ones that follow in Disney's footsteps).

I'm just a bit worried that the EA dolls will look a bit more generic than the MH dolls. For example, what kind of fashion theme is Cinderella supposed to have (if they make one)? Glass shards like Catty Noir? I Love Shoes Cindy?

I'm hoping for more obscure fairy tale characters in the later line. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty... that's all too Disney-ish for me. Well, with the exception of Snow White's evil step-mother! If they make her (or the Queen of Hearts) I'll buy them in a heartbeat!

Mattel trademarked Prince Dexter Charming, Prince Daring Charming, Briar Beauty, Raven Queen, Hopper Croakington, Kitty Cheshire, Gus Crumb, Hilda Crumb, Ashlynn Ella, Cedar Wood, and Cerise Hood on May 14th. 

Now I don't know for sure if it has anything to with Monster High and Ever After High, but I do see the Fairy Tale similarities.  Prince Charming is obvious, Briar Beauty is Sleeping Beauty, Kitty Cheshire would be the Cheshire Cat, Gus and Hilda Crumb could be Hansel and Gretel, Ashlynn Ella would be Cinderella, maybe Cedar Wood is Pinocchio, and Cerise Hood would be Red Riding Hood.

As for Raven Queen and Hopper Croakington, I'm a little lost.

I really hope Raven Queen isn't an antagonist. I've had it up to here with evil queens.
Hopper Croakington could be a pet or the Frog Prince/King.

The names are not as punny as the MHs, too bad. But I giggled at Ashleigh. Haha, gettit. Ash. Because Cinderella and cinder *drumroll*
Hilda and Gus Crumb. Eh, he better be named Gustav. Gotta have some German representation in here. After all the cast is mostly Grimm

I was thinking Raven Queen is Maleficent, but many fairy tales have queens portrayed as evil so I wouldn't be surprised if Raven Queen is an antagonist.
