Ugh. Yet another Airbrush question

Ok. An Airbrush compressor question. I bought the above compressor, and it came with a little dealybob with a pressure gauge and glass tube on it. Also a little roll of plastic wrap stuff used commonly on pipes and screw threading.

The instructions that came with this are a joke, and don't even mention how to properly attach this thing. I assume I just screw it on. But do I NEED to wrap that stuff around the bit before I screw it on? Or should that only be done if it doesn't collect water?

I know this is probably a question with a "Duh!" answer.. But I just wanna do this right. I don't want to screw this up. It was expensive.

That's the same compressor I have. the wrap seals the fitting so the air doesn't leak, so yes, I would wrap it.
