Now I'm even more late in the tread  But why not, I think forums are a nice form for MLP. Other social media only live in the present. An eternal scroll down, and only the latest is visible immediately. I don't like it at all. Refuses to use Facebook, X or anything stupid like that. Forums provide more proximity between users. Really hope the forum form survives on the web. Although this form is outdated today. It is difficult to embed and display images. Not phone friendly. But why play with the phone all the time? Live in the moment! Use quality time for the forum. There are modern forums layouts too, but they cost a lot and are not easy to run yourself without paying a fortune every single month. Really hope there is a basis of users for continuing the MLPArena. It's so nice to see the years go by, but the forum endures. Thanks to all of you who work with the forum, you are amazing! And thanks to all the users too, without you all it would die out.

Thinking about whether to rebuild the old lost MLP forum in my own language in Sweden. It was a variant focused on collecting and is as old as MLP Arena or so. It's been gone about 4-5 years now. Forums are certainly not as relevant today and all users have found new platforms for their MLP collecting. But maybe for nostalgia? I miss it anyway. It was called "the grape valley", translated from Swedish. Here a snapshot from Waybackmachine https://web.archive.org/web/20190103001014/http://www.druvdalen.forum24.se/Should I do it? It's a lot of work, costs some money, but why not? Do you think it's worth it?

It slowed down a lot when G4 ended, but it's still kind of fun. Even if it's not like it was before. Before, it was like entering a large arena full of people. Now it's more like a classroom. And YAAY! I changed to the same user name here too, thank you Loa! And on my 100th post, must just be the miracles of Celestia herself

I remember the G1 and the cartoons when I was a teenager. I had a friend with a little sister and she was totally obsessed with the G1 when it was the big thing in the -80s. Of course, we then also had the opportunity to watch VHS tapes with the ponies.
I actually enjoyed the stories, it wasn't as bad as a guy of that age would think. It was cute somehow.
The years passed, and quite a while later I saw DVD movies in the grocery store with ponies. So couldn't resist buying one of every episode I found in the pile. It was "My Little Pony Tales" and I remember it being completely different from the previous G1 movies I had seen.
But it was so cute, it was in my own language so my little daughter loved it. And we probably watched those movies 1000's of times over and over again.

Don't believe the rumours. G4 is still a thing  There are still conventions where you can buy G4 things either official or fanmade.
I collect them besides G1 to G3 but not all the merch like you would do with the older gens.
I know that it is still big, I am involved myself. But I mean here in the MLP Arena?

I'm from Sweden, but I'm quite happy that Sweden didn't have a chance. Of course the song was good, but now it was another country that was going to have the event, right?
What can I say about Switzerland? The flag is a plus anyway. The message of the song was good, but I don't know if it was that playable on the radio charts?
But they really deserved the win. Hope it will be a fun good event next year from them.
In last years Eurovision I thought Australia was great. Never heard of the progressive rock band Voyager before. Don't understand at all how they managed to get into Eurovision, partly because it's Australia and partly because their music was way above average for this type of music competition. Glad I found them anyway. The craziest thing of all was that they had a Toyota MR2 on stage. A bit car crazy as I am, I just had to put one in my garage too *lol* yes, music is an unfathomable source of inspiration, in every way.

After years of streaming and online music, I'm actually a bit tired of it. Started looking for CDs and physical media again. Mostly because it reminds of times gone by. Holding something in your hand that actually exists and can be touched is underestimated today.
The fact that several of our older cars still have CD players is also a reason that made it interesting. Unfortunately, it's gone in the last few leased cars.
There's something special about old-school stuff and the older you get, the more you appreciate it, it seems.
Just take the MiniDisc, who remembers it now? Yes I do. Before the MP3 player made its entrance, that was what mattered. And it's still nice today. Took my old collection down from the attic and the old deck, everything still worked, amazing. So much nostalgia. Oh, oh, what memories you get. Still cool today.

Since I've been away from pony collecting for so long, I've almost lost the whole thing about the old "real" MLPs. What about the G4? Does anyone collect them, or is that not a thing? Is it a neigh say or YAAY say?

At work, waiting and waiting for us to start the final tests of the safety systems at the power plant I work at.
We have been down for more than a month for refuling and maintenance that needs to be done annually.
A lot has to go through at a nuclear power plant before we start up for a year of operation again. This will take about 72h for 6 persons to do in shifts.
Oh yeah forgot, control systems are my focus here.
