You guys :drunk:
I wasn't really into MLP as a kid, I only had a handful of ponies. When we moved into this house about 11 years ago I knew where they were buuuuut I was kinda 'meh' about them. So I put them in a storage bin that went into the garage.
Not long after, I got into customizing, and found the Arena. A renewed (or new?) interest was sparked and I started a collection. I wanted to find my ponies! The things is, 4 different households had converged into this place, and the garage was a nightmare! It didn't help matters that my dad and sister can't keep their hands off other people's stuff. So whenever I tried to make headway and find my bins, things would get shuffled around and the whole thing was very frustrating!
Recently, I started digging through the mess and put my foot down about getting in my way since I'll hopefully be able to move into my own place next year. The last bin, the one shoved all the way in the back in the corner - is where I found my ponies!

They're pretty much how I remembered them. I knew my Raincurl had a head/body mis-match and poor Rosedust has had white hair for as long as I remember. The stain on Baby Firefly's face is from when a pen leaked in my toy bin as a kid. Racer is in great shape! The only one who caught me off guard is Sunribbon, she's much more green than I recall.
I'm so happy I can add my childhood Raincurl to my army  I just need to decide if I want to fix her up or leave her mis-matched with frizzy hair :P

Aww, yay! Glad to see you found them!!

Best brag of all! What a cute bunch too! Sooo happy for you.
-
Aww it is so special when you find your original, precious herd! :lovey:
-
That's so great! Congrats on your reunion!
-
Aww, congrats!! :)

nothing is as good as finding childhood ponies! I'm so happy for you omg
it's just me, but I'd leave Raincurl as she is, maybe a bath and re-curl for her hair to tidy her up of course. her "flaws" are what make her yours. I could never put a new tail on my tail-less childhood Bubbles as she never had one, and it's what makes her mine.
best kind of brag, congrats!

Hooray!! Sentimental ponies are always my favorites in any collection. :lovey:

That's amazing that you found your childhood ponies! It's funny- I have a few childhood originals with flaws that I know I can fix, but like with your Baby Firefly, I recall how/when they got them and other than styling their hair, I decided to leave them as is. I'm sure your Raincurl would be happy either way ^_^ Her hair still looks nice and pink!

Congrats! I bet they are much happier being out of a bin :)

That is so exciting! My ponies and Lisa Frank collection were a few things that I just count not part with and still have them to this day!

It's nice to hear that you were reunited with them sooner rather than later :lovey:

That’s so awesome! I ended up selling my childhood ponies at a garage sale when I was a young teen. 😭

So cool they survived the time in the garage ,with the heat and humidity in Florida , It is amazing they look that great :)
Congrats on rescuing them from the depths of the garage mess you described   i laugh because is the norm for every house, Garages get out of hand sometimes, I recently organized stuff under my carport, it was a struggle though to get into it and to finish it LOL
