Hello all! 

I've been asked a few times to send pictures of my pony room so I thought I'd just make a thread! 

I'm a G1 and G2 collector with special release G3s and whatever else strikes my fancy!  I've been actively collecting for 20 years and have almost all the ponies I need to complete my US and UK release collection.  Enjoy the pony goodness...

Oh wow.  Your room is AWESOME.  I love love love your MOC G1 ponies and costumes.  Seeing them all hanging up like that totally takes me back to my childhood days of seeing ponies in the toy shops.  Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks, everyone!  It's fun to have other people to share it with!

A majority of the MOC/MIB stuff was purchased about 15 years ago.  I redid my math.  I've been actively collecting for closer to 20 years (YIKES! I'm getting old!).  I don't think I could afford to amass that many at today's higher prices although there are still some irresistible deals out there once in a while!  I do enjoy the hunt!

Bowtie is a custom by Skeen and the Big Brother plushies (along with Night Glider and 3 sea ponies) are by AnitasMom!  Both are members here if you want to find threads featuring their work.

I seriously can NOT get enough of your room/collection. I love your organization and thank you for the close-ups of each cabinet!!!!! Did you build the risers yourself? These are the cabinets hubby and I have decided on for our collectibles.

Nope, I don't collect dolls! *cough cough* as I pretend I don't have 3 cubbies of Monster High.  ;)  Actually, I found the toddler Ariel doll at a garage sale for $1 and I just loved her. Ariel and Belle are my two favorites so I did some investigating and discovered the whole animator line!  I'm picking them up second hand when I find them although I suspect my mother might have popped into the Disney Store and bought a few for Christmas!  I do love some of the members doll collections that I've seen.  There was one villain line that I thought was particularly cool!  Do you collect Disney dolls?

Well, yes and no.  I'd say about 80-85% of the MIB/MOC were purchased 15 years ago at a lot lower price than what they fetch, today.  A few items I actually paid retail 1990s prices for!  I have a real admiration for the dedication of relatively new collectors since it isn't necessarily a cheap hobby, anymore!

Yep, I sure did!  My husband gave me a safety lesson on our big saw and then away I went!  I actually didn't attach the "legs" to the shelf parts as that allows me to switch out leg height if I want to reorganize at any time.

I do collect disney dolls. I have +- 300 now. The animators are my favorites ^^

Breathtaking! I mean that literally--those pics took my breath away! How I would love to go in there, although I'd probably experience it like an art gallery--look but don't touch! It's beautiful!

The photo of the Soft Sleepy Newborns was delightfully terrifying. I still remember when those came out and my best friend saying they looked like cute pigs.

The MOCs are unreal. And the shelving is absolutely gorgeous.

Congrats on one of the loveliest collections I've ever seen!

I have invested a lot but probably not as much as newer collectors.  20 years ago, I found ponies regularly at flea markets and garage sales for 10 cents and 25 cents.  I paid $2 for a TAF MIP baby Love Melody for goodness sake!  I remember being hesitate to pay $5 for a MOC pony because that seemed like quite a lot at the time!

Lol, that's awesome. XD As my ponies cover a whole wall in my bedroom, I get some surprised comments when people walk in, but no screams yet... :P

Amazing! Like others have said, I could just sit in there forever! It's like an awesome pony museum. The peg board especially reminds me of when you could buy G1 ponies in the stores. I love looking at your pictures!
