Off Topic / Re: Anyone work in a Zoo / with captive animals?
« on: January 13, 2017, 06:17:03 PM »
I wanted to do this as well but I heard it was hard to get the jobs. About 1 in 5 people get hired to be a zoo keeper.

But! Don't let me a debbie downer. If it's something you are passionate about, I absolutely encourage you to pursue it! You never know! I do remember watching a documentary back in the early 2000's called The Little Zoo That Could. It actually was very interesting and explained a lot of the struggles/duties/jobs that zoo keepers preform. I suggest looking it up. It was really inspiring.

I'm very jealous of Bumblesweet and Dream Blue!!! They are so pretty. I love looking at G3's. When I think of My Little Pony, they are the first to come to my mind.

So far those are the only dolls that I know of. But I'll still be searching for other boy dollies!

I don't think it matters what we call them? *shrug*

While I think they are cute, I don't plan to collect them. I still haven't seen them in person though since they haven't show up around here. But no one seems to be restocking the original brushables anymore. At least not in my area. So I'm sure they are on their way.

I'm totally not stalking you on goodreads now or anything...

Hopefully one day I'll get to reading your book. I'm a HUGE book nerd and the book sounds so amazing. Also, the trailer is awesome!

I buy what I like but then I usually end up regretting it. One day I'd like to be able to have a dollhouse for both AG and Barbie...

I feel this. A lot of times I get buyers remorse after I buy a new doll or go on an ebay spree. It's like, I have to have them, but once they are on their way, I've already moved on to the next thing and don't really want the thing coming in the mail.

It is so frustrating!  One buys a toy to make them happy, that's the idea right?  Somehow "being happy because I own this toy now" never equally translates into "and I feel TOTALLY comfy about what I did to the credit card!"  I feel so much guilt and anger and frustration surrounding the stupid VISA when my husband and I look at the bill and this SCARY scary number, and all we have to show for it is well-fed bellies and SO MUCH PLASTIC CRAP Made in China.    And you can't recoup your costs on "collectible" plastic junk - I had to almost GIVE away my MH dolls when I sold them!  Despite all the purging on my collection, I still know that I paid far more for this stuff (secondhand even) than I ever have gotten back when I sell it on Kijiji.

Yeah I'm working on paying my credit cards down right now. They aren't too terrible. Christmas really put us over though. But I still can't stop buying. I buy a couple things from ebay a week it seems. And sometimes in stores as well. I'm trying to cut back since we're trying to have a baby but I know that's not going to change anything lol. We're not like broke or anything and my bf doesn't mind that I'm spending. I'm disabled so I gotta have something to do when I'm home, and collecting has helped. But I still get anxiety once I get something and I'm like "Did I really need that?!" but.. the cycle continues. As long as the dolls don't start taking over my house I should be good!

If you can find male dolls of comparable size to Project MC2 dolls, I'd love to know too. I wish they'd introduce some boys in their line.

My Scene dolls work!!! I got one of the boys I ordered in the mail. Their heads are perfect size. They are a tad too tall but it looks cute with the short girl and tall guy. I'm in love. I'm going to buy a bunch more My Scene boys for my Project MC2's.  :frolic: :lovey: :lovey:

I've been searching and searching and the closest idea I came to was My Scene. I think their heads are bigger then ken dolls and they are articulated so I'm hoping they will work.

The Dollhouse / My Scene doll owners

Hello, I have a question for those who have My Scene dolls. Could you tell me the difference in size compared to them and a barbie, or a project MC2 Doll please? I am planning on ordering some but I want to see some comparison pictures first. I need a few boy dolls and I haven't found a lot of Ken's that I like and Project MC2 doesn't make boys. So if someone could show me some doll comparison photos, that would be great.

Thank you  :)

I always get the same thing. Quarter pounder with cheese- no mustard, Large Fries, Large Lemonade, four piece nugget.

I'm trying not to get any fast food this year. Ten days in and so far so good.
