Hello all.  I'm not a collector myself, but I have become quite the pony "hunter" for my wifey Wyndeboo. 

My job requires a lot of travel and I've taken to digging through all sorts of thrift stores, flea markets, swap meets, estate sales, etc. wherever I go in search of ponies and other toys from my youth.  I've racked up quite the bounty during my travels and continue to enjoy the hunt.

I'm trying to better understand the hobby, what to look for, what to avoid, etc.  Its not always practical or possible to access My Little Wiki to ID ponies when I do find them so hopefully being around here will help me hone my "pony senses".

I'm also interested in doing a bit of chemistry on some baits to see what processes are best to restore pieces that aren't in the best of shape.

It's really nice that you are taking an interest in your wife's hobby :)  Hope you find plenty of useful information, tips and tricks here on the forum!

Hello, welcome to the Arena! It's awesome that you hunt for your wife, I think a lot of collectors dream about having someone going to other places and hunting for ponies, especially where nirvanas are present! Being here will definitely help you hone your pony senses ;) The Pony Corral and MLP Nirvana boards are a great place to go. I can't wait to hear about your experiments!
