The new Pokemon games have been revealed in today's Pokemon direct! Here's a link to the trailer shown off in the direct.

The new region seems to be based around Spain.

The grass starter Sprigatito, the fire starter Fuecoco, and the water starter Quaxly.

How are we all feeling about the announcement? I wasn't really excited for Sword and Shield at all, but I really like the starters (mostly SPRIGATITO!) and the look of the region.

I've been wanting a Pokemon "purple" since Red and Blue came out!  Yay for Violet!  I know which one I'm getting!  It will be interesting to see what they do with the evolutions of the starters and if they do another Eeveelution with this batch.  There are lots of Eevee types we don't have yet: Flying, poison, fighting, dragon...

this is gonna be good, its gonna be what they learned did and didn't work with shield/sword and legends hopefully.  I was thinking either Spain/Italy/Columbia for region and I ...really hope they don't pull  what they did with Litten

I also really hope that the full Pokedex will be available in this game, unlike Sword and Shield.

I wish I could be excited for this but I'm not. I doubt they'll be bringing back the whole Pokedex but the region looks like every other 3D Pokemon game with Unity engine crust around the edges and likely a dull plot as ever I hope the people who get this game enjoy it but I think I'll be sitting this out

Can’t wait till these come out, I’m going to get both versions because I have Switch Oled and Switch Lite, I know which starters I’m going to get in both versions.

I don’t care if we don’t get a full Dex but I just want new evolutions for Eevee.

Wow, another new Pokemon game already?!? But the D/P remakes and Arceus only came out like 5 minutes ago, damn...

I haven't played a Pokemon game since Moon (which I never finished) and I don't even have a Switch, dunno if this'll be the one to make me cave. The newer games haven't particularly interested me. I'd love to see the full Pokedex return but sadly I feel like they're never going to have every single Pokemon in one game again...

Personally I wish they'd focus their efforts on one game instead of pumping out new games so fast.

SAME!! I hate Game Freak's obsession with making ALL their cats bipedal. Even the ones that start off quadrupedal like Meowth and Purrloin tend to wind up on their hind legs after a couple of games I don't mind *some* bipedal kitties but a bit more variety would be nice.
