That's what I'm thinking.  My shortest wait for a BJD from the company was my RealFee, who was on my doorstep only 4 weeks after ordering her.  I couldn't believe it!  They must have had your doll in stock and ready to go right away.  That's some serious good luck.  Great dolly karma for your first BJD!

thank you both, that does make me feel better.
i'm so excited. i don't know how long it will take for him to get here, but i'm trying to stay calm.
i want to make him some clothes, but all the patterns i find online are set for a4 paper... so i'm not sure what to do.
i'm trying really hard not to buy any wigs till he gets here since i'm not 100% sure how the skin tone will turn out. i know it will be darker, but i'm not sure how dark the tan will be.

but i think having a few basic pieces of clothes waiting for him wouldn't be bad. any recommendations on where to buy patterns for basic clothes? 1/4 size

and yes, once i figure out the sizing on him, he will be getting his own jedi costume. whether i take him to the premier is another question, since i won't be going alone, and well... i'm still not ready to tell my family how much i spent on a doll....  ^^;
either way i want him to get here sooner.

i can't believe he got here this fast. he's so cute!!
i will admit i did buy a recast off aliexpress on the the 11. and she arrived on the same day.
so i got two dolls at the same time.
i know some don't like recast, but i want to practice faceups on a doll that didn't cost several hundred dolls. i do love her though. I hope to have pictures of them both taken tonight.

on that note. i'm going to try and make bory look like a young Kanan Jarrus.
so i'm trying to decide which outfit to make him. I did buy him boots, but right now he only has the unders on.

differnt outfits and versions of kanan/caleb

thinking this style if i go the padawan route, but i don't know what to do about his tied back hair.

i could get something like this one tye it back and trim it, but i'm not sure if the front would look ok.
i'd like to make my own wig for him, but i'm not 100% sure how to go about it.
i will be buying a blonde wig for the girl.
just cuz i love light hair with dark skin tones look.

I'm sorry, but why not practice on a legit doll? It's very hard to ruin it, unless you're planning on using sharpies.

How about we don't be judge-y and not practice guilt tripping. Pretty sure she doesn't need to justify herself to anyone

I can't believe how quickly he arrived!  You are a lucky duck indeed! I have a boy who is STILL bald and he's been with me since June.  Boy wigs are harder than girl ones I've discovered.  Can't wait to see yours!

with winter now here, i'm not sure how good a picture i'll be able to get, but i will try.
i live in the basement so it's never very well lit

i did find one wig on etsy that i like. it's make from silk so it's pretty expensive, well for me, but i think it has the best potential. waiting to hear back from the seller before i buy though

I'm not judging, nor am I trying to make anyone feel guilty. It was a legit question. I've seen tons of legit dolls that sell for less than some recasts and there are plenty of legit practice heads sell for as low as $20-25.

Like I said, I'm not here to judge. I'm happy you like her and I think I speak for everyone here when I say we can't wait to see pics of your new babies :)

Yaayyy I ca'nt wait to see.

I know there are some wigs available that are fur wigs with synthetic hair extensions that could maybe work? Let me see if I can remember where I found them.

I like the look of the first outfit in the line, but with pants.

Wig wise, just try the style you want with the pulled back, then just move a few of the plugs around or add some. It looks like a thick wig.
