Congrats on the Tiger.  :)  Legos are fun to put together.

I bought the Classic Creative Fantasy set at Walmart today.  It's listed on Lego.com for $90, but it was only $60 at Walmart.  I thought that was a pretty good deal.  :)   I've also been looking at the $10 3 in 1 unicorn set.

I still haven't found the fish tank in stores yet.

I haven't gotten a chance to work on the tiger yet, but I opened the box and looked at the manual. It has like 400 steps :whoa:

Wow!  That's a lot of steps.   I've head great things about the tiger.  I think it's really interesting that you build the tiger from the inside out. :)

I made a Lego binder to keep all of the adult sets instructions in and also the extra instructions you can download on Lego.com for the classic sets.

I got the 3 in 1 unicorn and tiger today. :D  At first I wasn't interested in the tiger, but the more I heard about it and saw it in the store, I decided to get it.

Awesome! I haven't started mine yet. I need to clean off the table and do it there.

I saw the unicorn too and thought it was really neat :) I want to save up for the fish tank though.

I bought another bonsai tree so I can make the cherry blossoms variation without taking down the green leaves of my first bonsai tree.

Oh nice! I saw the Wildflower bouquet on Walmart.com but I can't afford anything right now. I still haven't put the tiger together.

I started putting the tiger together today.  I spent about 2 to 3 hours on it so far and only got the first 2 bags done.  I've had to go back and stick parts back together because they fell off while adding something else.  A part fell off of somewhere, but I don't think it's a critical part and I didn't want to try taking one of the legs or the body of the tiger apart to figure out where it came from. As long as it's not effecting the display, I'm going to leave that piece out.

I finished the tiger.  :D  It took me about 5-6 hours total.  I read some reviews that said it can be put together in as little as 2 hours, but those people must be really good or faster than me at putting things together.

I love the head.

The tiger is partially articulated so you can move some pieces in to different positions.

Awesome! Congrats! I still haven't started mine

I checked the price of the fish tank on walmart.com and it's still $60. If it was half that, I would get it.

I have nowhere else to talk about this but I am kinda disappointed with the direction that lego Friends is going in :(  It's like they're trying so hard to be NOT GIRLY that they're ending up making boring sets, or ones that look wierdly over simplistic or too childish somehow?? and then slap a massive price tag on it. I mean, this is the last ocean rescue set from a couple years ago:

not too girly, right? detailed, lots of play value, fun for an adult to build too and cute to display.
and this is the one they just released:

It looks like a kiddie play land, and not in a fun way :( They have created some slightly more interesting sets, but they're all in the $100 plus category, and they're not AMAZING they're just slightly better than most of the other sets. There is already a lego city theme! Why do we need what is basically a weird sort of minimalist recolor? (also a BUS?? seriously, a BUS for $70 come onnn) I don't think I'll be looking for any of these, which is not the worst thing haha!

That's a really big difference.  I think I saw one of the Lego Friends houses or somethng  and it was $100 and the new Little Mermaid set for adults is $160

I bought the London skyline set today.

Yeah, there's the Seinfeld apartment set too, which I would love to have but it's over 100 bucks. I still want the fish tank and that's $60.

I've been so stressed out I haven't started on the tiger yet still.

I opened the box for the Paris skyline, just to look at the book, and it's 120 steps.
I'm debating whether to start putting it together today or wait for another day.

I put the Paris skyline together today.  I lost track of the exact time, but it probably took about 4-5 hours to finish.  I had read some reveiws that said the arches of the Eiffel Tower didn't stay on or would break if you used them, but I was very gentle with my set and although they fell off a couple of times, I was able to put them back on.  I also read that the Effiel Tower didn't click in to place.  I did have a little trouble with that part, but it was because I had put the hooks that hold the Tower on wrong so I had to fix them before I could attach the Tower to the base. I had to rebuild the Arc de Triomphe a little because I messed up on the roof.
