Bummer :C (Dutch Toy Stores)
« on: February 04, 2015, 10:32:51 AM »
Me and my BF often go Merch Hunting. But for the past... 4-5 months it isn't fun anymore. We're stuck with the same things. We're still stuck with the first wave of the Rainbow Power Singles (With Tinsel) Some Rainbow Power Stuff and the First POP Series. We also have still the first Rainbow Rocks Doll wave. We do get some new things however like that Dj-Pon-3 with a car but she's so expensive. :C A lot of the merch is.

The most dissapointing thing imo is the fact that we are still stuck with the Wave 9 Blind Bags here for already more then a year! Only certain Claire's have Wave 11 but they are expensive as well. Somebody already contacted a store and they told him that they didn't had any idea if they are going to continue selling MLP...

I feel so sad because now I have to get most of my things online which is a lot of times even more expensive. Anyone else having problems with this?

Truly

This is exactly what I'm experiencing here in Australia, we still have the Crystal empire masquerade brushables, Rainbow power cadence and twilight with the big shiny clip in wings, tons of EQG from around pinkie pies boutique and a few rainbow power ones. Recently though there is cutie Mark magic brushables (sweetie drops, sunset, skywishes, flower wishes, honey rays etc) so that's very exciting but very expensive ($13 for honey rays). Also LOADS of CMM fashion style ponies cadence and sunset shimmer! (I still can't believe it!)
We haven't seen blind bags here since one of the first waves and that was it...
A lot of places here seem to not be continuing with mlp lines with Kmart looking to be switching to fakie ponies :( other stores are not restocking funko ponies at all since the Octavia wave! Its really sad to see because I know it's because of character re-releases that never sell (even kids are bored here I've seen it too often).
I'm so glad CMM has been made to be honest, I feel it's saving mlp in stores around here from being discontinued with the new characters in it.
(Also happy to pick up these new ponies for you though I know it's expensive!)
But yes, out here it's not too different pony-wise until these new CMM ponies popped up.

Same story here in Belgium. No new releases and no interesting things in general. I can't afford importing everything so this is getting seriously dissapointing. I feel like i'm back during G3.5 when there was hardly a point in visiting toy stores.
I will be so happy when those ugly tinsel ponies will finally be gone. I also wish we would get some more plushes.

We do tend to churn stock at a reasonable pace here but on balance stores often carry limited lines or small quantities of the more popular/cheaper lines. But sometimes when retailers have over bought a set in excess you can be stuck for ages. A few of my local stores have shelves full of the Breezie sets and you know until they clear those out we wont see any more deluxe sets...that is frustrating.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Sad to say but even several stores in the US tend to be like that. Why we have more POP Waves, where I live some of the stores still have back stock of Crystal Empire =/
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

My Target definitely overstocked on those POP ponies and the EQ girl Slumber sets- because that is all that is on the shelves every time I go.  Oh, and the big Rainbow Zilla Twilight Sparkle.

I have to agree with the above post, I think this is a problem everywhere.

Hasbro is really doing a poor job with distributing the ponies.

Same thing here, but with less. No brushables, no funko and for the first time Claire´s got the blind bags.

It's not Hasbro's fault- it is the retailers.  Hasbro has no control over what the retailer orders. We should all be bugging our retail stores to stock the new ponies...

Ah, right.  This isn't the first time that I've heard that, it's just so easy for me to blame Hasbro.  My bad.  >_<

At this point, there are a lot of stores that need to be bugged because Hot Topic seems to have less and less Funko ponies every time I go there, Walmart never stocks any new stuff... Target and Toys R Us have actually been doing well.

Considering how far behind we are and how little we get, i wouldn't call it a worldwide problem.
I see people complain here about stuff that never even gets released over here. XP
