Sort of interesting find. "Giant" McD's pony?

I went antiquing yesterday with my parents, as always keeping an eye out for ponies and the like. I came across a cabinet that had some MLPs inside, though nothing extraordinary, when I noticed this gal.

She had a molded tail like a McDonald's pony, but she's nearly regular G3 size, slightly smaller. There was a G3 Butterscotch on the shelf below that was the same but I couldn't get a good picture of her. The tags around both their necks said they were from McD's, but the regular McD's ponies weren't this big. I can't say I've seen or heard of these guys before, or maybe I'm just majorly out of the loop on this particular type of pony. Where are they from?

I looked on Strawberry Reef and it said she's from a McDonald's set, 2004, in Mexico I think.

I didn't! Though now I might have to. I was too uncertain of their origin. They were both only 8 dollars. I do have a couple of those smaller ponies on that same page.

I have one like that, but it's Sunny Daze.  The mold looks the same, molded tail and all, but I have no idea where she's from.

South American McDonalds Ponies   I found one in Toronto, Canada, another online, and the other two in Buenos Aries in a street market.

That is a cool find!  I'd agree with what has been mentioned that she is a Mexican McDonalds pony  

Sky_Rocket: Do you know if the same exact ponies were sold in South Africa too?  Or were they slightly different?  That is cool if they made it over there too.

That sounds like the Sunny Daze figure/book set from the Avon catalogue   I believe there may have been one more from Avon like her, but cannot remember who.  Maybe someone else can confirm.

I´m from Argentina, these ponies were sold here in McD

The fun thing is that when they sold them I didn´t bought the happy meal, but one month ago my cousin gifted it to me, it is my only G3 McD pony  (my cousin is younger than me, so when these ponies were released she had the appropriate age for a happy meal, I was in the high school and in those years I didn´t collect ponies lol)
