Glitter for symbols?

What glitter/glittery paints do people recommend? The only glitter I have experience with is the stuff that comes in big pots that you throw on PVA glue at Christmas!

Microglitter is great!  You can find it at a lot of craft stores.  You just apply modge podge (or some sort of glue/sealer) the sprinkle glitter over it.  (There are a lot of ways you can apply it, I'm sure other artists will have more ideas too!)

They also sell glitter paint, but its a good idea to hunt for brands with tiny glitter pieces in them.

Extreme Glitter by Plaid. That stuff is the best!

I paint on a metallic first then seal with glitter of the same colour mixed in the sealer.
