I found a cute plaster model kit at the Reject Shop which looks like a Takara pony! It only cost $8.00 and was such a fun little project to do while I'm home sick with laryngitis. I painted it up this morning and I think it looks adorable. I don't normally do fakies, but since a real Takara is out of my price range I think it's a good compromise. Just wanted to let any other Aussie collectors know in case they're also interested ^.^

That is really cute! I never got the allure of these particular ponies, so I'm not worried about actually getting one, but the kit is cute and you painted it well. Nice size difference, too. :) You have a family. :lovey:

I have one of these to! I found mine from Dollarama. Mine is called a 'Plaster Animal Kit' and the had 2 other statues you could collect(I think one was a whale?) but when I saw this I recognized that pose and figured its the closest to a Takara I will ever get lol It's funny how different regions get the same things but in different packages;

seems like she is or was sold in the UK as well.. She came up in a shop on google image search, but when I clicked it - nothing came up..
