Mr. Holland's Opus

^^^^

Makes me cry horribly though. Also the original Homeward Bound, with even more tears.

I love movies so much I'm sure I could talk all day about them. I can't think of too many films I find inspiring exactly but there are a lot that make me feel good so here are a few...or more. Sharing my love for movies is my favourite thing so I hope I haven't gone overboard!

Rocky Horror Picture Show - ok, not necessarily inspiring (except to inspire to have more glitter in my wardrobe) but it's been my favourite movie since I was four so it's just really comforting to me. Same goes for movies like Grease and, yes, even Grease 2

9 to 5 - nothing better than three sassy ladies giving their jerk of a boss what for, huh? Also, Dolly + Jane + Lily = amazing combination.

The Hairy Bird aka Strike aka All I Wanna Do - even though these girls are all far more wealthy than I'd ever be I just love films about girls/women being friends and working together (though sometimes it'll make me sad when I realise I don't always feel like I have the relationships I want with my friends but this isn't what this thread is about ;) )

Hairspray (2007) - the colours! The songs! Tracy is a rare character in cinema I think. And all the nods to the John Waters' film make me happy too.

Whip It! - watching this film just made me feel really awesome about being a girl/woman. And anything that doesn't have to end with a romantic coupling, showing you can be happy being single and enjoying your friends, is great in my books.

Muriel's Wedding - in some ways this is an incredibly sad and painful movie but the ending is beautiful and so is Muriel's transformation from a woman cowed by her father's degradations and who completely hates herself and her life to one who is finally comfortable in herself is uplifting to me. And once again the value and power of friendship isn't underestimated.

Also see: almost any musical that I love. I say almost as some, like Cabaret, are slightly depressing.

Hmmmm this is a great question!

Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron: seriously I could watch this movie forever and never get tired of it. I always cry when he's on the train and pining for his home and family ;^; One of my favorite movies of all time

Black Beauty: I cry through this entire mpvie. Seriously. I am the biggest movie cry baby ever xD

Toy Story: I grew up with these movies and the year The third one came out I was going off to college just like Andy. Needless to say I have a very deep connection with these movies

Peter Pan: One of my favorites of all time. I wish I could stay a kid forever and live in neverland ;<

Monsters Inc.: Oh my gosh no words can describe my feels when Sulley takes Boo back home through her door. And the creativity of this movie is just trough the roof. I love it so much. Pixar has the key to my heart. Lol

Pocahontas: she is not the most popular Disney princess but I love her so much. She inspired my deep love for native American culture at a very young age. Her love for adventure is wonderful and I find her curiosity refreshing. This is all not including the second movie. Lol

And I will stop before I write a novel. Lol xD

At the moment, I'm interested in watching Mr. Holland's Opus again. Great movie.

I watched this again a few weeks ago.  Love it.

Amelie, Secretariat, and Groundhog Day always lift my spirits.
