This girl was done as a commission for the lovely Victoria
She wanted a peacock pony with a real feather tail and a normal tail as well. So this girl is what I came up with.
She started life as a jeweled pony - I removed the jewel and filled in with apoxie sculpt and sanded til smooth. Her wings and part of her tail were sculpted from apoxie as well. Her wings are removable.
She was then given an fbr with a custom made metallic peacock color and sealed with dullcote. The sculpted part of her tail has swarovski crystals imbedded in to the feathers as well.
Her feather tail piece was made by layering and securing real peacock feathers of all types together over a metal mesh base. It is removable and it fits down inside of the sculpted tail part.
Her symbol is a a feather, carefully painted with several colors to look delicate and semirealistic. It is sealed with dullcote.
Her eyes were painted with acrylics and sealed with gloss.
She was rehaired with a handblend of several greens, two different blues and accents of a burgundy color - I don't remember how many or which colors are in her hair.
It was then styled in an updo with twists and pinned into place with gold pins and swarovski crystal dangles.
Her mask was created over a metal mesh armature. It features over 200 crystals including several different shades to look similar to peacock head markings. There is also a sculpted slot for her real peacock head crowns to fit into. Again both the mask and head crown feathers are removable.
