What was the other major id site that used to be? I used both of them so much. Miss them both!

Was it In To the Sea/My Little Pony? I loved the ID machine on that site too. It is gone now also.

Indeed. A lot of old but fond memories remain. I've been to so many MLP sites over the years, and I imagine about 90% of them are gone.

I had one of my own, but it's no longer around, either. It wasn't all that great, but I still miss it. It was nothing like DV, though.

I always used DV for G1 identification. I loved how the site worked. Or maybe I was just used to it. Lol

Yes! Also I really miss MyLittlePonyCollector.net  - that was a really useful site with LOTS of checklists!

This was it!!! I truly miss that site! Gonna miss dream valley so much! I used to love that she used the back card images! And who can forget pretty bow the U.K. Pony!! (Pokes taffeta)

Oh how sad Like a lot of people Dream Valley was very helpful to me when I started collecting; thank god for her pony ID section! Being able to click through the options (colour, hair, symbols etc) to find out what my pony was; made things so much easier. Back when my entire collection could fit in a shoebox lol! I'm grateful for everything she did. Sad to see it go.

Aw really? I loved that site, I was sad when I checked back and it was gone. But I understand how much effort and money they can chew up lol.

P.s I remember you made me fall in love with Ice Crystal & Munchy! (not that that's hard to do lol..) but you wrote such nice descriptions about them. I was like "Ok now I really want these two dagnabbit" lol

That makes me so sad! I found Dream Valley long before I found the Arena, and use it frequently when I need to look up new ponies.  I know life gets busy though, and I'm grateful that Dream Valley was around as long as it has been!

it's thanks to dream valley that I was able to re-discover my ponies. I remember when I re-discovered them in my closet dresser... I pulled them out and looked online for "my little pony" and that site was the first I found! So many fond memories of ID'ing my ponies, creating wishlists, and just getting to know the line.
I still used it up until now also

Aww, I'm also really sad to see it go. I (like a lot of us) used the ID tool frequently to figure out all the ponies I had from childhood when I first started collecting back around 2003. It was so well done! I still occasionally used DV even up to probably last year or early this year because there's still so many G1's whose names I can't remember and it's just always been my go-to for G1. =P

I hope Kim is doing well. I certainly owe her a big thank you for keeping DV going so long. Even if she hasn't updated in a long time, it's clear that she still put SO much work and love into it.

That's so sad, i'm really fan of this page, it was the first page that i found and my big big guide about my colection. i learned so much  with all information of the site.

I think it's the first site I when to when I originally got online back I think in 1997 or whatever year it was I got online. Ponies were the whole reason I got internet back in the day so the first thing I hunted for when I got online was MLP. So pretty sure Dream Valley was the first site I found about ponies.

It used to have a chatroom and a lot of us first started communicating in the chat.
