Hey all!
I'm here to show you my two newest acquisitions: Streaky and Mimic! They are both in pretty lovely condition! Streaky had some odd purple paint on her cutie mark, but a magic eraser cleared that right up! The ebay seller graciously separated her mane into the individual colors; her tail was pretty frizzy and in one piece but a few rounds with conditioner softened it up nicely. As you can see my curling job is...subpar. I just need a bit more practice!
Mimic had a bit of black scuffing on her hooves, but magic eraser to the rescue once again! Her mane and tail are very nice; it's hard to see in the pic but there's very minimal fading on the pink streaks.
Both lovely girls I am very excited about! Though I love Mimic, I just think Streaky is the most beautiful of the G1 unicorns. Her colors just match my aesthetics perfectly.
Apologies for the garbage pictures! One of these days I'll learn lighting and backgrounds! And...not use an iphone camera...

(If you need lighting help I just wait for natural light through a window in front of bedsheets or scrapbook paper...)

Oh wow! Huge congrats! Is Streaky hard to get hold of? They look wonderful all prettied up. Ooh and their hair is still pink too. :frolic:

No, to my knowledge Streaky isn't rare. But I fell in love with her once I saw her; so she's more of a personal grail! ;D

Lovely! Mimic is always sought after, but I have a real soft spot for the Rainbow Curl ponies. Congrats on your sweet new additions!

Mimic is really tricky to get hold of here in the UK and is always so expensive when posted on ebay, well done on acquiring such a rare pony! :happy:
Are you based in the US? How tricky is it it get Mimic there?

I am based in the US! I've admittedly not been in the G1 collector's game until I unearthed my old MLPs about a month ago, but I quickly found out that Mimic was a hot ticket! I've been popping on ebay here and there, and I see her priced from about $140-190 in good condition. Damaged ones I've seen go in the $70-80 dollar range. I got into a bidding war for this one, I actually ended up getting her for quite a bit cheaper than one in as good of condition as she is!

Mimic is one of my favourites, her colour scheme is pretty unique and yours looks to be in great shape. And the Rainbow Curl - I love this set. I have a serious soft spot for them all. In the UK Streaky is called Rainbow Rider, and she was used as part of the logo illustration on all the cards for the year that they were released, under the rainbow, as well as on the front of the insert, so I guess Hasbro UK liked her too!
I think her curls look pretty :)

The Rainbow Curl set is seriously the best; I agree! I'm trying not to go TOO overboard, but I think I'll make it a goal to get all of the Rainbow Curl ponies! That's so neat she's called Rainbow Rider in the UK; hearing about different pony names is so fun! Glad to hear she got some prominence on the card art!!
