I made an absolute steal this week on a local online marketplace, and just happened to be the first one to message the seller. Barnacle is my second Big Brother pony, but my first to have his hat! He only cost me 15€ as well, and the seller lived within a walking distance so no shipping costs either! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHe does have a few markings here and there but nothing that can't be cleaned. His hair was braided but feels silky and smooth so just a quick press should fix that too. I'm just so excited I made such a good catch!

I just got my second Show Stable from the mail, the pink one! It comes with almost all of the accessories, which is great since the pink one is rarer than the white one. I believe it’s only missing Brandy and the purple weather vane (a pain to find, but that pain is for another day). It even has the purple pole for the jump!
I’m just not sure if it’s the German version or the EU second edition, as it has no sticker on the front. The date on the bottom says 1983 which would have me believe it’s the German edition. I’ll have pictures up later when the lighting is better!

Thanks for the reply SunPony. I think it’s in between with the condition. Most seem to have all of their hair in place, but the photo is so far away from that I can’t tell if there’s any significant stains. There are some fairly rare ponies in there, some sparkles and princesses. Nothing *that* rare though. Tex also has all his accessories on him, from what I can tell from the pile. Someone else got to it before me or the seller already has a set price in mind, as the current highest offer is apparently 280€.  I won’t be making any decisions on buying before seeing more photos, as I’m not *too* sure about the trustworthiness of this seller. The site doesn’t offer a refund policy either.

I found very recently at a local trift site a g1 lot of roughly 50 ponies. The picture just has them dumped out of the box and the description simply says to make a ”sensible offer”. The seller also just describes them as prizey collectible ponies, which I found amusing.
Clearly the seller has no idea how much they’re worth, hence the dumbed picture and the description only calling them ponies. I also only have the estimate amount since the post doesn’t say how many.
I just have no idea how much to offer to this person. I’ve sent in an offer of 80€ which for a lot of toys is a fair amount, but do you guys think I low-balled it?

Thank you! I recall my childhood favorite having been my Stripes. I think she still might be my favorite. Thanks, I will! I've been doing some pretty extensive reading about restoration work, but if I run into a bind I'll be sure to ask for help!

I'm currently looking for missing accessories to my Lullabye Nursery and Show Stable. I'd prefer to get all of these either within the EU (for customs reasons) or from the same seller to save up on postage.
I'm not in a hurry to buy these. A lot of these are available on ebay right now, but most of the shipping costs are too high for me. I'm able to trade some common G1 baits for the accessories as well.
I'm looking for:

-Blue small bowl.
-Baby bottle with yellow rim.

I got one last Christmas from my parents. It came as a total surprise to me, my mum had apparently found it at a local facebook marketplace for 20€ or so. The seller clearly didn't know what she had, the house came with nearly all of the accessories and in pretty good condition.
There is a cracked corner in the roof and some general dust and dirt from play, but other than that it's in very good condition. I had to put it into storage due to not having a proper display for it yet, so I haven't completed it yet. I should have some parts arriving from England in the couple up coming weeks.
I'm going to have to put up some new shelves to actually be able to have it in my room.

Hi,
I’m a somewhat casual G1 collector from Finland. Due to difficult and changing living situations my collection hasn’t been on display since 2012.
Despite that, I’m planning on displaying my collection again and I’m very eager to keep working on it. I have approximately 100 or so ponies, with some duplicates (I think I have close to 6 Lemon Drops). I also have some playsets, namely Dream Castle and Lullaby Nursery, with almost all of the accessories.
I want to focus on restoring my collection and finding the current missing accessories to some of my sets before getting back into seriously hunting for more ponies.
Most of my current ponies are from my childhood, with only the odd number having been purchased at a later date from auctions and such.
I currently don’t personally know any other collectors, especially in my area. It’d be nice to get to know more people and talk about a shared hobby.
I’m also a fan of the tv series, but I’m not (at least not yet) collecting any G4s.
