alot of us are ok with something deboxed. if a situation like this happens i think you're partner will understand. i find boxed toys intimidating. and tags are fine... but only for display.

I agree on the no spiders and nothing scary/gory for me please unless it's a warg.

Would you like it if I drew something to put in your box?

Of course!

LOL... Random item seems awesome and I am okay with spiders ...

Accidents happen! I'd say send it as is with the damaged box if is not too bad. But if it's really mangled then go ahead and debox. I don't think your partner will mind after all ma h of us have animals.
I'm not really on here anymore. Email me if you need my for something.

This swap is like a fine wine, it keeps getting better with age.

Yes!! Too funny!

I also agree on no spiders...  :lookround:

So... The package I was waiting for arrived while I was away, but our neighbour agreed to pick up our mail so all was well. Well, today she said she left the house for like, 10 minutes, and her dog got a hold of my package and chewed it up  :( I'm not sure what to do now as it was something that my partner probably wanted MIP. The item itself is fine but the package is chewed and torn on the back. She felt really bad and apologized, I told her it was ok, as what can we do about it now, but now I'm not sure what to do. Debox it or try and find another one on ebay? It's not really something I collect myself...

I think your partner wouldn't mind if you deboxed it. It's still new. :) Try checking their original wish list. They probably have it listed. I know I wouldn't mind. These things happen.

I'm the kind of person who usually prefers stuff deboxed. It ultimately depends on what it is, but a deboxed item won't be any less loved here. I also have dogs and a cat that like to get into stuff, so I understand that these things do happen. I'm sure your partner will be understanding if you send the item without the box.

I also don't mind things deboxed. I usually debox things anyway :). The only things I still have the boxes to are things that have really neat box art or vintage and it came with the box then I will keep it. But the box isn't important to me.

There was an inch worm in my swap box one time.  Not sure how he got in there, but I just let him go in the lilac bush out front. I don't really care about spiders as long as it's not poisonous.  Send me a cockroach and I will hunt you down, lol. :P

Sounds good everyone, I feel relieved after reading this! I wouldn't mind it deboxed either if something like this happened so glad to hear others feel the same :)

On a more positive note, I bought a few extra-y things today! There is one other thing I think I might get, and then I might be pretty much done!

I'm not a MIB preson either. The only things still in boxes are the G3's that came in boxes - lie the art ponies and comic con

Haha, you should put something super random in there like a plastic pickle.
Nah, you need a bowtie. Bowties are cool  ^.^

the only thing I am thinking of for a plastic pickel probably dosent belong on a PG 13 rated board  :P

I don't mind deboxed either.  Unless it comes with a vintage box most of my stuff is deboxed too.
