As for the swap, I need to actually go out in stores and shop, online shopping is scary! I have found very few and I mean few things online in the vast corners of the internet. If I continue shopping online I will totally go over the budget. Is anyone else having trouble with finding affordable gifts that aren't scary with shipping? I am totally hoping to get to a thrift store this week or next and look, my thrift stores are good for having odd ball and fun things. I also need to get me some soft fabric, I am going to attempt sewing!
And the cooking question about recipe/food in a jar? Sure sounds good to me!

I was overcharged for shipping on several of my items from eBay, but that just seems to be the way things are going lately. I only bid on auctions whose totals after shipping were still in a range I was willing to pay. There are a few things I'm sure I overpaid for, but eh. Can't put a price on a smile.

Yeah I've really tried to pay attention to shipping costs when buying online. It's a rip off sometimes. You look at the item and its a really good price but shipping is ridiculous and it's just like....really? If I know that the shipping on an online item is more than it actually costs to ship...I usually won't buy it.

Did we decide when the earliest date of shipping would be?  I remember someone saying no more than 2 weeks ahead of the final ship date.  Is that right?

Both of my partner's have some interests I would never collect.  One person has nothing at all I would normally collect.  But it has been really easy to find things for both of them, and I am way less tempted to keep things for myself.    Except for one person who collects something I DO like a lot even though I don't usually collect it. 

I hope they both like their boxes because I can't gauge if they are good or not, lol!!!

Both my partners collect things I know nothing about! But I'm learning. There's an item I'm watching on eBay that I know my partner would love, but since it's coming from Canada the shipping is as much as the item.  I'll probably get it anyway, just because it's cute.

My partner is pretty much my opposite too. It's kind of nice to take a break from my usual hobbies. We do have a couple common interests, so I plan to use those to my advantage... Some collections just aren't doable in the $25 category, so I'm trying hard not to disappoint.

Wow this thread has begun to get crazy again! lol. Whenever I sign in for the day and see multiple pages I know people have been chatty.

I've finished shopping for the big parts of my partner's collections. (Still thinking about some extras.) But half of them haven't arrived from ebay yet. One auction I won, the seller didn't mark it as being shipped until six days after the auction ended! >.< How annoying! Not really a big deal, considering our deadline is still over a month away, but I am always anxious when I'm waiting for things to get to me through the mail.

There's been so many questions, I dunno what I have or haven't answered at this point... >.> But I don't cook and I have plenty of baits for my few customizing projects, at the moment. ^_^;
