That is quite true - hair holes and tail holes will close up if left without hair in them for an extended period of time.  The fact that there are indentations and a tail hole at all tells us that this pony /did/ have hair at one point, because the machines that insert the hair make the holes.  You don't see one without the other.

I got a little bit new info: the pony was sold in a Finnish auction site but it was originally from Great Britain or Germany. It was sold in a big lot.

Just throwing few ideas. Could it be that she's actually a fakie? I heard that some fakies still have the markings under the feet, just not as thick and visible as on the real MLP.

Or maybe the color is from a very bad discoloration from rust? The eyes look pretty much like baby Schoolbags, though I'm not sure if the pink could change into such color even because of rust... Or maybe one of the Seaside Babies, the orange one got discolored?

Alternately she could be a prototype of Dutch Baby Cat pony

The Colouring Kiddies fakies have a dodgy neck seam and the plastic is lower quality, it's quite easy to notice. I have this one picture of my Colouring Kiddies baby:

If she came in a lot via UK or Germany, I'd say that would still leave open a strong possibility of her being a prepped bait, as customising is popular in both locations.
