The Bizarre of the BJD World

I figured I'd create this thread to discuss the more bizarre-looking creatures of the BJD world (so strictly non-human looking dolls like aliens and such...not mythological type humans with horns/hooves/wings/etc).

I can go on and on about my favorites, but I figured I'd get the ball rolling with Argonautica. Only the little versions are for sale now, so I'm planning to get one in purple and one in green. Just waiting to see photos of them at that size, as the creator only has photos in white and translucent blue at this time.

I think I like them. They remind me a bit of the original Zoras from Legend of Zelda. They're definitely interesting.

Non human looking BJDs are still new to me, so I haven't seen any, but if I do I'll be sure to make note of it.

DollZone has some neat creations. Here is the dablyop. I just got one in lilac (as seen on left) that will be repainted to have the markings as seen on the aqua one below:

That's a cool doll!    I appreciate the bizarre ones, but am drawn to the more normal ones for my own collection I guess.  My unusual ones are my centaurs or my satyrs and my half bunny.  Nothing terribly unusual.

I really love and appreciate the bizarre of the BJD world! I don't own any beyond the usual fare, mostly because the bizarre are usually artist dolls, which are understandably more expensive. D: Well, monetary conversion from euros is expensive
I want a Dablyop or Ceryop really badly and am hoping for a future release or even snagging one on the second hand market...in the future. I am broke-a-doke lately

Oh yes, you must get one. All BJD seem expensive to me, haha, so I can't say these particular ones seem to be higher than usual.

This one has a pretty anime face which isn't my thing, but I am sort of smitten with that body and tail..

I got to see him in person at Dollism Plus! Someone won him in a raffle He was pretty neat looking, but huge!

Oh wow, how big? l have heard about some of these BJD that are close to three feet tall! Way too big for me.

Probably around the three foot height, actually! I think like 90% of congoers put in the raffle for him, haha.

My biggest is about 2 and a half feet tall, Tuney. I have a really wide range of sizes in my house. The small dolls are my favorites for portability, but the large ones are just so amazing. I need to get some clothes and a wig and eyes for my Ringdoll so I can post photos of him. He's naked right now and he's very anatomically correct so I can't post pics lol. He's stunning though.
