Welcome to the Arena!

Customising is such a fun hobby and I totally understand wanting to make the background characters that were never sold as toys. I hope to see your creations soon! ^.^

In the meanwhile, enjoy taking a look around the forum! :newpony:

The Dollhouse / Re: Monster High returns again!
« Last post by Lady Frostbite on Today at 11:45:59 AM »
Copyright? Isn't the Story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde public domain? Sure there are other interpretations that might be copywritten but I'm a touch confused. I'm trying to think who would be a problem ... I know there was issues around Pharaoh but he was a late-stage male monster and low on the tier list. Keiran? Gigi/Whisp? The Bellfry vampires? Operetta?

There is a new toy announcement and it seems that there is just this all-in push to make Toralei and Clawdeen a thing. STOP MAKING IT A THING! GIVE CLAWDEEN A GHOULFRIEND WHO DESERVES HER!

(Yes it says friends, but come on. They're not ghoulfriends in EITHER sense of the word. It should be Clawdeen and either Cleo or Lala, I'd say more Cleo since Lala and Frankie tend to get paired together if there's only two ghouls in something, then have 'goona and Ghoulia)

Wait, is it Howleen?? Has she been seen in G3?

Hi! I'm the donut master, Joe.  ;)

I'm a 19 years old brony and I live in São Paulo, Brazil. It's been a year since I left high school and currently I'm going only to a cram school for preparatory exams.

The most important person in my life is my best friend, because of him I learned about how true friendship is meant to be and how is to be loved for being who I am.

My favorite ponies are G4 ones. I like their shape and designs, the very first 2010 wave is my favorite. I'm still going to start collecting, so I have been keeping an eye at official ponies, but I've been seeking for fakies because I want to start making customs. My favorite type of ponies are stallions and I dream of making pony customs of background stallions. Can you guess who's my favorite pony?  :P

Recently I bought a fakie Pinkie Pie for the purpose of customizing...but I simply fell in love with her, so I'm thinking buying another one for the custom while keeping this one.

Anyway, nice to meet y'all, I hope my collection of customs grows so I can share with everypony here.  ^.^

Yes, it surprised me too. I've penciled in symbols in the past and had them come through, so I don't do that anymore.

Thanks BC!  Thats crazy that even pencil will bleed through !

I’m airbrushing several ponies today so I thought I’d just go ahead and airbrush one black and one in a lighter color and just set them off to the side for a few months just to see what happens.

I wonder if giving them a coat of MSC before the paint would prevent bleed? 🤔

I bought two Diamond Art Club diamond paintings that are only sold on Amazon.  One is a bunch of cherry trees in bloom and the other is Strawberry Shortcake. :)

I also got some of the diamond art paintings at Walmart.

Even pencil can show up through paint so I'm going to say yes.

What you could do is use a primer and let it sit for a couple months. If it doesn't bleed after that I'd think it would be safe to paint.

Customs / Will permanent marker bleed through acrylic paint?
« Last post by kaelynn on Yesterday at 05:42:38 PM »
So I dug these girls out today (poor things) and I’d like to try customizing them but someone on Facebook told me that the permanent marker on the bodies would bleed through any paint I put on them.

They all got a good soak and scrub and then I used acetone to take off as much marker as possible then scrubbed them again. My plan was to airbrush them as I usually do but I wondered if anyone has experience with this happening?

Edit: I should clarify that this pic was taken before all the scrubbing and acetone!  All of the green and red marker came off and only the black is left.

I'm making biscuits and gravy with sausage.

I saw a post somewhere recently that described biscuits and gravy as flour with not enough water and flour with too much water and I think that's a funny and fair statement.
