HALLOWEEN is approaching!

Do you have plans? Are you dressing up? Giving out candy? Is your yard extra spooky?

This month has been hard for me and it's gone by so fast. I didn't decorate. I'm planning on staying home and watching horror movies.

Nope. I'll be working and hoping noone rings our doorbell because working means I won't be able to keep my lights off during trick or treat time. Might watch the Luna Nightmare Night episode that day though.

I will be dressing up as Velma this Halloween and going out trick-or-treating with my sister's kid as well as making some chocolate apples and carving some pumpkins. (Well, maybe the latter two will be done the day before, I'll see). I will probably also be giving out candy if I'm around when children are at the door.

Besides that, I hope to watch some Halloween or horror movies.

I have math fair on Halloween. Why our professor scheduled this and why teachers are bringing their students in to do math problems on Halloween for a field trip is beyond me though. Maybe it’s because math is scary?  :silly:

Afterwards, once the day is done and I get to go home, I think I’ll just be handing out candy. No new costume this year, been busy with uni.

I also just stay at home with horror movies.  :relaxed: I could throw a sheet over me and pretend to be a ghost. :wonder:  If any children arrive behind my door, I could scare them with my sheet costume! :ghost:

As decorations, I only have a few orange LED light sets and a paper lantern with a pumpkin face. It would be great to buy a real pumpkin and carve a lantern from it. :jack:

To me it is! Don’t ask me to do math on the spot, my brain goes blank!  XD

But in all seriousness, I have done a bit of decorating. So far I’ve watched Smile at the drive-in movies. At home I’ve seen NBC, the Huluween Dragstravaganza, and the Solar Opposites Halloween special. I want to hand out candy, but I usually only get a couple trick-or-treaters. You know what that means, don’t you? Full size candy bars at my house! :hearts:

This year, I am going to scare the people that come up to our front porch. I have what I need ready. I still need to come up with my routine I want to do so then when the time comes, I am ready. I will take a picture of what I am going to be dressed up as later and provide a Post Image link so then people get the idea, rather than trying to explain what my idea looks like.

Tomorrow I'm watching a performance of Rocky Horror Picture Show with my brother and sister-in-law. That's probably going to be my Halloween this year.

Why are pumpkins so big??? Seriously!!! What's wrong with a small one for an individual living alone??? Oh well, Butternut squash again. Let's see if I can carve it better this time

the child is going as Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls.  I am almost done with an EPIC stovepipe hat that is all velvety.

we 3d printed little ghost children and put them around the front window by the security camera.

i have to make dozens of cupcakes for the work potluck lunch tomorrow.  so stupid.  I don't have disposable funds to just throw at buying food that other people will eat, or not eat...

My initial plans for this year were to have a Treehouse of Horror marathon, but I've been so busy this year I didn't have that much time to watch any new Simpsons episodes so it would mean only watching the episodes I have already known for years, and that wouldn't be that much fun so I decided to move it to next year. Then my second idea was to go through my personal collection of offline creepypasta videos, but I still haven't finished the process of transferring all my data from the old drive to the new one, and I made a decision not to download anything from it until I'm finally done with this task. So in the end I decided that this year I'll just watch a scary movie or two in the evening, open a Halloween themed bag of chocolate mice, read some two sentence horror stories, listen to music by Myuu and maybe watch some YouTube videos.

:jack: Happy Halloween! :jack:  :devious:

Hector (gray) and Ozzy (black) wonder a little about my Halloween lights. :) Hector knows how to pose for the camera, but with Ozzy, it's difficult.  I couldn't photograph Ozzy in the dark because the cat is as black as an autumn night!  Hector was afraid of that plamsa light so I didn't get a picture of it with it.

(There are other pictures of the boys behind the spoilers.)

Pretty low-key Halloween this year. We didn't get any sweets to give out (we kinda gave up after COVID, we never really got THAT many kids anyway), good thing too since it's been raining on and off all day, so I doubt any kids were out trick-or-treating.

Usually I rewatch Over the Garden Wall, but I didn't find time for it today, so I'll probably watch it tomorrow instead. Tonight... probably just watch some more Halloween specials and poke around on virtual pet sites for a bit before bedtime. :bat:

This year I actually had a good number of Trick or Treaters, for the first time ever!  I was so happy to see them!

Other than giving out candy, I had carved several pumpkins and watched Hocus Pocus with a friend.  A pretty chill Halloween this year, as usual for me.

Well, my plan was ok. My mask broke. A part of it came unglued on the mouth and side of the face. Fixing it later this week. I wore my black paws and tail to school today. I didn't get barked at. (yay?). We had a couple big groups tonight.

pretty low key Halloween for us. we went to vote and pick up food early. i figured the line would be short with Halloween. and it was. i did see lots of people voting though. early voting is much easier.

Not too many people rang the door. i guess you're supposed to sit in your driveway now. i didn't realize. maybe next year i'll dress my Chloe dog up in a cute costume and go sit outside. the kids who did come to the door were all very nice and got lots of candy. now i guess i'll be eating chocolate for the next week.

now it's time to put the Halloween stuff away and get ready for Thanksgiving/Christmas. i'm not that into Christmas but i like decorating.

That & my pastries in Slice of Life was pretty much it for me. Didn't go anywhere or do anything.

None of us felt like handing out candy this year.  We sat in the house with all of the lights off.

We did have one little boy and an adult ring the doorbell, but they left before anyone of us could get to the door to give them candy.

The office had some event, I think they had games and stuff for the kids and Bingo for the adults. I didn't go over. I didn't see anyone in a costume either.

I made some food and sat in bed and watched a couple shows, the Dahmer one and The Watcher.

My BFF who lives in Wisconsin sent me a funny text :) We don't talk often but we're still good friends.

I put the Blind Bag ponies I didn't want anymore in the candy bowl.  I had to set it outside cause of the kids and teens sorting through them for the ones they liked best.  It was pretty cute.  I kept back my favorites.
