Price check on some Spanish beauties, including a very special Masquerade

Hi everyone!


As I mentioned in the Introduction forum, I'm currently thinking about selling a few of my Spanish ponies. I'd really appreciate it if I could get a price check and some orientation for them. I haven't got photos of all of them right now but I'll send some in as soon as I get them cleaned up a bit. Also, do you think it's best to sell through forums or on Ebay?


1. A "piggy" Spanish Peachy (Cielete I). In decent condition, hearts on her rump are slightly faded, a few spots and some frizz on the hair.


2. A Spanish Dancing Butterflies (Mariposa). Decent condition, some frizz, may have a few small stains (I'll know when I finish cleaning her).


3. Spanish Baby Lickety Split. OK condition. Frizz in hair, hair's gone white, washer rattles inside body, also have to clean her up.


And finally, may I introduce one of my all-time faves, my beautiful Whizzer-pose Masquerade. As you can see she has some hair frizz and also needs a bit of cleaning (she also has a slight discolouring on her forehead) but seems to be in pretty good condition otherwise (Image is from my blog):

I also have some of the guys, Spanish Tex and Tug, but I have to see if I still have the accessories and what condition they're in.


Edit: I forgot! There's also an NC Sugarberry but she also needs a good deal of cleaning, photos soon

Does anyone know if there is any info available online (or even on these forums) for dealing with spoilt hair? Is there actually anything to be done about frizzy hair in any case? 

Edit: Just found a great tutorial on hair and cleaning, lets see how my cuties turn out!

Seems strange there are so few of them, I seem to remember mine was a gift from my aunt, bought from an average shop in Spain, so it's not like she got it from anywhere special...


I just loved it 'cause of the bright green sparkly eyes. I remember I used to have Galaxy as well but it got stolen at school... never take your ponies to school, kids!!

And here are Masquerade and Dancing Butterflies right after their baths


Masquerade came out squeaky clean, apart from a few tiny stains that seem to be easily removed using my nails, and the aforementioned decoloration which is now hardly noticeable. Still some frizz, but a lot better than before.


Dancing Butterflies was filthy, so now she's definitely improved. However, she still needs some more scrubbing, and is very slightly smudged on one eye and on the hooves (I used to paint their toenails as a kid, and must have used some type of aggressive product to remove it back in the day). I was surprised how thin and short her mane seems in comparison to her US counterpart, but from what I've found online that's how it's supposed to be. Tail hair still seems a bit frizzy.

OH MY GOSH! Spanish masquerade, soooooo beautiful!! I want her SO bad! I have no idea her price range since she's so uncommon but I'm thinking I probably wouldn't be able to afford her

I agree with SFlame's prices
as for Masquerade - she's so rare you should take offers (though I'd love to own her...)

Since there seems to be quite a bit of interest about Masquerade I think the easiest thing to do is to put her on Ebay as soon as I get some more photos. The listing should be ready in a few hours time, I'll let you all know (both here and in the appropiate For Sale section) as soon as it's up.
