They are actually from Ikea but they are not what you think :) They are wooden drawer inserts for silverware. I painted them white and drilled holes so they could be screwed to the wall.

Oh, I totally see it, now.  GENIUS!  I'm still contemplating how to incorporate Mr. Sebby's idea of a rotating tie rack display ;)

Sebby- OMG, your stuff is amazing!   Love the shelves and the smaller shelves your erasers are on- those are perfect for pony stuff- are they an IKEA item, too?  Those MOC babies!!!  AH!  You have some awesome merchandise I've never even seen before!  Your bday must be in January, huh?  I had no idea there were so many stampers and erasers.  I've looked at your website but until you see them all together like that... WOW!  I thought the ones in the collector pose were the plastic jewelry charms at first but they're erasers!  So cool!!!!!!1!!!!!  PONY OVERLOAD!

Aadra, what kind of cabinets are those and where can I get them??  They are perfect!

They are the Billy system from IKEA.  They have different units so you can kind of build your own to fit your space!  And, if you live within driving distance to a store, they are pretty affordable and easy to assemble.  You can add doors, glass shelves, and even lighting later.  I had to build my own risers to put on the shelves, though.

Aadra, that room is unreal! I can't even imagine how much money and time a collection like that would take to put together!

It is just the most awesome collection I have ever seen! So beautiful!

Thanks!
And, it wasn't as expensive as you may think.  I've been collecting for many years and a lot of my loose ponies were flea market quarter finds.  I might get pelted with fakies if I told you what I got some of those most sought-after beauties for 15 years ago!  It was very time expensive, though!  HA!

Pony rooms/closets/shelves/nooks are so much fun to look at!  I had a pony closet tucked away at my folks' house from my youthful collecting days but now that I'm all grown up, I'd been dreaming about a pony room for about a decade.  Hubby and I recently moved and I decided it was time to make it happen!

Only problem is... where do I put the G3s?!

Wow all are so well done, just wondering though in regards to the eyes - what are you doing with the G1 donors or are they getting ruined taking the eyes out?

Nope, they aren't ruined.  I've seen this very large project in various stages as Skeen has been working and she speaks the truth- the TE G1 baits were SUPER BAITY- cancer, mold, regrind, missing limbs, no hair, and so on.  The nicer baits she has she thought she might mold eyes and make non-TE G1s.  Kinda like what people were doing to beddy bye eyes.  Believe me, Skeen doesn't waste anything!

Also, she doesn't give herself enough credit- all her customs are AMAZING!  I have 3 or 4 or maybe, like... 10. :)

I highly doubt they're going to pick up a brony, since they don't have "pony rooms" or floor to ceiling collections like some collectors do... but seeing a giant collection is going to leave a bigger impression then showing a single plush they spent thousands on, in my opinion.

Dang!  And I was just about to post pics of my pony room in the brag arena!  What horrible timing!  Seriously though, agreeing that no good could come of national attention in that way.  Just post about your "crazy obsession" her per usual and let fellow members drool all over it and share in your hobby!

Cool!  Good luck on your speech!

Rapunzel, Sweet Scoops, Mom and Baby pony, Birthday twins (These are all  mail order only ponies and thus, harder to find!)

+who are the most expensive Nirvana ponies? Can't really help too much there... I know South African ponies are expensive!  You could pop over to the nirvana forum and ask.

+How many ponies do you have in your collection? 1000+
How long have you been collecting? Pretty much my whole life!
How old are you : 30 yr old female!

I saw your post about this on another thread and think it's a good idea!  I'm not at the Arena much so I'm not aware of any other guide like this.  My suggestion would be to get pictures submitted.  I know a lot of people have done restores on ponies that look really grungy.  So, that might give a visual representation of just what is fixable and what is beyond help.

You did a great job with that interview!  I really liked what you said about how the ponies make you feel and how you started collecting as an adult.  Your husband is awesome!  He was funny and genuine- loved it!

Cool thread!

I have a Baby Princess Sparkle and buggy that I remember buying at the toy store in the mall!  I also still have my Blueberry Baskets and, although it isn't a pony, my original lavender Dream Castle with the original accessories minus one goblet!  It was my only playset that survived multiple moves and yard sales!

Scroll down to the second picture and click on it- it blows it up and shows you where to find the # on the actual bag and which # corresponds to which pony in the wave 1 release!
