Ok so the last few ponies I've worked on I've used my fabri-tac on the inside of the head to secure the hair. I noticed that my current bottle of it moves very very slowly when trying to get it out of the bottle (the bottle I have is not the normal fabri-tac bottle) as opposed to the other fabri-tac I still have in it's normal bottle.
Is it possible that the more often the glue is exposed to air it will do this or just the fact it's older? I have a habit that after putting glue in the pony's head I let it drain out into the larger bottle (which is the one having problems). It still works it's just... yeah slower than I'd want it to be and harder to get into G4 heads I:

I think that the more it is exposed to air, the thicker it gets - and also just by being left in the bottle for a long time and being opened and closed often. I had a bottle that kept getting the little cap knocked off of it and it eventually turned into the consistency of tacky hot glue. :/

I didn't even make it through half my bottle of fabri-tac before it turned into a thick goopy mess. :(

Oh no! Now I want to go check mine... I don't use it on the hair but I use it on a lot of other things. Is there any way to fix it? Like by maybe heating it a little or cooling it (like putting it in the fridge) or maybe adding some water to it? Those ideas have no actual merit to them but they're the first things that popped into my head :P

Glue has a shelf life. If you leave it... a year? Two? It'll harden. You'll be able to thin it out with something, but it's best to just get a new bottle. A smaller one.

is there anything smaller than the 4oz bottle XD?
Well I guess if I want to use what I can left of this bottle I might want to get some more customs done soon and rehaired... lucky for me what's left in the original bottle is still workable.

You could try another product. :) I use Mod Podge and it takes years (like 3+) for the glue to even start to thicken. It is easily watered down too (I use it for sealing paint too). Hope this helps! :)

I might use it, I still have some from when I used it for a sealer.

I use a high temp hot glue when I rehair. Dries quick and no seepage. ;)

My fabric-tac needs a cleaning once in a while. I get a pin and carefulyl try to remove and gooped glue around the tip.

I wonder if heating it a bit before each use would extend the life of the bottle? Granted, I could be talking out of my left elbow here. But it works for honey...

I tried that but the last custom I did it with didn't agree with it as far as the paint I:
