I sent him a message asking him for an update about my custom back in march - when in february he said he'd update me soon. I checked his profile today and he hasn't been on since march 26th.
I sent another pm today, but the previous one had never been opened.
Has anyone heard anything about him?
EDIT: He's fine, just not responding. At the advice of Ponylady and Ringlets, I have left negative feedback detailing what happened.
EDIT: well, today I got a refund! I had to do some searching to find out who from but I now consider this settled.

I see Evie posting all the time on FB, but no activity over here or communication with we mods (that I'm aware of, anyway.) I can give a nudge on FB to see if that gets a response.
-
I'd appreciate that. I'm glad he's okay, at least. I was worried something had happened after he said he'd update me soon.
-
Okay, I think there might be an email coming your way soon. *crosses fingers*
-
thank you very much, ma'am

Okay, twenty four hours awake. I surrender and go to sleep. Just in case he sends the pm and wonders why I take so long to respond!
-
I will try again to get ahold of him for you Rosen :( I honestly thought this was resolved.
-
Well, what happened, Ponylady, was last time this came up he messaged me and said he'd get started and update me soon. And that was in february and that's the last I heard. No message from him yet. :(
-
Still nothing from Eviecorn. I'm thinking I should just give up on this custom :/
-
Dang! :( That really bites.
-
I just wish I still had the hair I sent him, so I could send it to someone else. It was the exact colours I wanted for the custom.
-
What colors are you in need of? I maybe be able to help you out :)
-
I don't remember their names, that's the problem! But one was a grass green and the other was a wheat yellow, because the pony I designed was meant to be for the prairies. :(

He took my money and my hair and won't even contact me.
-
 that's not at all good. I'm so sorry that this has happened :( hopefully he will contact you, there surely must be a reason.
-
Well, I thought something had happened to him and was worried but apparently he's fine and been on facebook.
-
This is awful! Can you contact him directly on Facebook or are you only going through other people right now?
-
Oh no this is not right at all!
-
:( I hope everything gets sorted out soon!
-

Only through other people. I don't feel comfortable going to someone's facebook.
-
I think he needs to refund you and send back your hair. That is the least he needs to do. I get things come up but it takes very little effort to send something back. How did you pay?
-
With paypal, back in February.
-
I think you may have to contact him personally, it might give him the kick up the backside he needs
-
Wow :( that really is odd.. why would they just drop off the arena like that? he really needs to refund you that is not okay. he could at least reply. :/
-
Mods, what do I do? He's not responding to pms, people contacting him through facebook hasn't done anything, and I can't open a case because it's long past the time limit and I trusted him so I didn't open one at the time.
-
Eeeek, that's a bad situation to be in. I wonder why this has happened? :( Sorry Rosencrantz, I don't know what to suggest! Is there anyway you could call PayPal and inform them of the situation? Maybe they'd open a claim, despite the timing? Ringing is usually the best route to go down?
-
Did you use your paypal balance or use your credit card (via paypal).
If the latter, i'm pretty sure you can file a charge back.
Hope it all gets sorted out <3
-
Rosen I am truly sorry but I have done what I personally can in regards to the situation. Unfortunately just because he was a previous Mod I can't physically force him to respond. I wish I could but I can't nor can any other Mod here, do so.
If he cared about his reputation here then he would have obviously responded. In which he has not  My advice at this point is to leave honest and accurate feedback in regards to the transaction. The Paypal window for filing a claim has lapsed so there is honestly not anything you can do to get your money back. I only tell you that so that you are not on any false hopes that you will.
I do promise to keep up on it and try to get ahold of him for you. Until then though like I previously mentioned, bad feedback should be left.
-
I cant add anything other than to agree with what Ponylady said unfortunately :(
I know he's being dealing with real life stuff but thats no excuse for ignoring all attempts to resolve this. at this point you need to leave appropriate feedback. The way he's been lately really surprised me TBH
If he *does* come back at any time and make things right with you (we can always hope, right?) , you can always revise the feedback later if you wish
-
Okay. Thank you for the advice, mods. I'll go leave the feedback now.
(sorry if I sounded like I was ordering you guys to do something! I really just wasn't sure how to proceed at all)

I wouldn't worry about it. To be honest, I know how you feel and I would do the same:(
-
Don't feel bad Rosen, you did the right thing  I think you have been more than patient on handling the situation.
-
I just wish I knew why he did this!
-
really sad to see members do this.. especially former mods :( i hope they are not hurt physically or something?
-
I'm really sorry that it had to come to this, but I think you did the right thing, Rosen. I still hope he comes back though and makes everything right.
-
*hugs* you definitely did the right thing even though it wasnt easy
there is still a way back for him if he wants to change the situation and the feedback
-
You did the right thing at warning others to stay away from him. I can't imagine why someone once respected in the community would just do something like this.
-
:( I am so sorry this has happened to you! I hope a resolution is reached soon...
-
*sigh* I hope no one else has had to go through this too and haven't spoken up about it just because of who he is. :( I'm sorry this happened love
-
Fortunately I wasn't really afraid to bring the matter up to Ponylady and Ringlets. They're pretty fair-minded.
-

Why would it matter? To be honest, all I know is he used to be a mod. (I don't know why he stepped down or "was fired," but that doesn't matter.) Everyone here should be held to the same standards when it comes to selling and trading.

Everyone is and should be held to the same standards, but a well-liked, well-respected member of any sort of community can be difficult to stand up to out of fear of repercussion. I think Hunter-Rose is just saying that because Eviecorn is well-known and has a good reputation here, some members might be a little too intimidated to say anything because they might want to avoid toe-stepping and the drama that can come with it.
Fortunately, the Arena feedback system is very fair so that no "small" member can be punished for leaving honest feedback about any tenured member of high status. I also find it more than fair that there is a window of opportunity for Eviecorn to come back and make this right.

You said it a lot better than I could :) Thanks!

surprise twist!
-
:bigups:  I'm so glad that he finally responded and sorted this out by giving you a refund. Thank you for the update - thats great :)
-
Yes, thank you for letting us know about the surprise twist. I'm glad he came through for you. :frolic:
-
I am glad to see that he came through for you. Better late than never
