I chose Teddy because he's my favorite character on MLP Tales.  I used his name the first time I logged into a MLP chatroom like 21 years ago (at Dream Valley, when it was still open). I just wanted help finding out the names of some ponies I had gotten from some friends, and Teddy was the first name that popped into my head to use to log-in. Anyway, I have kept the name all these years on all MLP forums and such.  (This lead to alot of confusion in the early years that I was a guy, though. lol!)

My name has nothing to do with ponies

It's the title of a Megadeth song from the 90s. I've used it as my online nick for that long. I'm BlackCurtains almost everywhere. People in real life call me BC (not my initials) I've used it so long.

I actually came up with it on the spot, while registering an account. The funny thing is that I had spent months writing my introduction post, making sure that I include everything that needs to be included while looking for ways to avoid things I don't like to talk about, but when it was finally finished and I was ready to actually register, I realized I don't even know what I should be called So I just quickly cooked up something I believed would sound relevant to the forum, and the first thing to come to my mind was something equine related but not necessarily pony-specific (Pinto) with a touch of randomness (Space) and that's how Space Pinto was born

My mascot is a bunny named Pinkie and I wanted my username to reflect that. A friend actually came up with this name and I picked it over a few other suggestions from a couple friends.

I was in a science class and somehow we got to talking about gems and someone mentioned nanodiamonds, microscopic diamond particles with a bunch of really interesting applications. I thought they sounded cool, and rubies were my favourite gem at the time, so I came up with NanoRuby, and that has been my go-to username on pretty much every site ever since.

My real name is Marlowe.
Back in high school all my friends would call me “MarshMarlowe”, which was a play on the word marshmallow. I tend to use the name MarshMarlowe on my other social media and art sites and such (you can find me anywhere with that username!) but I wanted to go with something a little softer for this pony community, so I chose Marshie

My username comes from an episode of The Adventures of Parsley; when Parsley couldn't sleep, Dill came to him with a tiny little sheep and announced "It's a miniature sheep! One minute yer wide awake, the next minute yer fast asleep!" I absolutely love puns and sheep are one of my favourite animals, so it's appropriate... also much easier than making up a username under my own steam.

Ok so Koudoawaia comes from when Koudo started off as a kitsune and the friend that helped me name her told me it meant Earth Light in Japanese. At the time Koudo was an Earth kitsune of the Light element. Recently I looked it up recently and found it doesn't really mean anything but that's ok. I'm still Koudoawaia anyway and have been since 2006. Ever since I got married, I've been KoudoawaiaVortex everywhere else because my husband's persona is Maelstrom Vortex. So when we got married and I adopted his rl last name in rl, Koudo of course took on Maelstrom's last name as well.

Well my username came from Bright Eyes song from Watership Down well the bright part, rabbit came from well the rabbits, and 1 well that came from S Club 7 song Your my number 1.

It's a nickname for "Carrie". Been using it online for years now.

I signed up at the Trading Post first before I joined here.  When I was trying to think of a user name I couldn't decide on what pony to include in my name so I choose Ponyfan instead of focusing on one pony.
