" Things with Wings" Swap, FINISHED

Ok...update on the wing disaster.  I resculpted, added more wire, sculpted more feathers, and let it sit overnight and all day today with stuff propping it up.  Came home, nothing had moved or cracked.  Put the whole shebang into the oven, plopped down on the kitchen floor, undid curls on ponies for twenty minutes, and watched clay bake.  xD

Let it cool, and for the last hour or so, nothing has moved or shifted, so I think it's all ok.  Everything feels solid, looks solid, and appears to be ok.  I think I am ready to start painting!  Though I think I might wait til tomorrow to get started on that bit...need a bit more research first.  Still, it looks good so far, and I think it's all ok!  Not the exact plan I had originally, but it still looks ok and is still going better than it could have.

Adding armature to this... carefully... I think I need more glue but am a little afraid to put too much on lest the sculpting attach erroneously to the glue instead of the structure...

Yay for progress! Finally got some serious sculpting done, though now I'm thinking I didn't weigh it down enough. We'll see.

Regarding extras, I really don't need anything but an awesome custom (I want all the awesome customs ). I'm drowning in hair and baits and it's too hot to send candy (or easily melted things) here. So don't worry about it, partner

Extras are not needed of course but if you feel so inclined I can always use customizing supplies. I have a g1 sparkle baby North Star army. I like art, miniatures, poems, anything!

I was discussing plastic storage containers with some coworkers once and held up one of the ones we had on a shelf and said "I have one of these, it's filled with pony hair!"  And then they all moved away from me.

Woo, the wings are done. I am very pleased with them. Now to figure out how to attach them to the pony...

 I feel like a slacker, I sketched out my pony, photocopied it and have colored it multiple ways and am still not 100% happy with the results.

As for extras I went through my outbox and cut pasted everything I've sent out for extras ideas for other swaps in the past to make one jumbo list of ideas/themes/stuff partners can use for ideas for extras or when I participate in swaps in the future!

I went to work last month with bandaids on a few of my fingers. My office manager knows what I do with ponies, so when she asked what happened I casually replied "Oh I was decapitating ponies and sliced myself real good" right as my new coworker walked in. She gave me the most utterly horrified look, and my office manager and I were in hysterics - had to compose myself so I could explain, which just led to further giggle fits.

As for my swap piece, I have finished the rehair and begun work on the wing armature. I'm hoping to get some more done on them on my next day off

I chose my bait!!!! Ah ha, I finally know which one I am going to use. I feel pretty excited about that. I was at a stand still. I can go ahead and prep it and maybe now i will be motivated to figure on the darn colors!!!

Time to trim some armature!   Almost done with the facial details. Then on to the wings... although I haven't decided on feather shape yet...
