I use superglue mostly, the gel variety. I've also used gem tac.

My favorite kind of glue has always been Uhu, but its getting harder and harder to find :( I'd say the superglue gel sounds good, just be reallly careful. I've gotten stuck to numerous things and even given myself a chemical burn  >_<

Last time I used superglue, parts of it dried sort of chalky looking. Currently I am liking Gem-Tac. It dries clear.

Excess superglue does dry kind of a powdery white, but it's not an issue if you use it carefully so that it doesn't smush out from under whatever the item being glued is. But the kind of glue depends on the item being glued, as well.

devcon 2 part epxoy :) it dries clear and unlike superglue it has a slight filler property which allows for the curve of the pony's body :)

I actually use model glue. I think the brand I have currently is from Games Workshop. They usually make two different types, one for metal and one for plastic. I doesn't dry chalky like folks were mentioning with superglue, but if you use too much it's really easy to sand down.

The only down side I have with it is that the cap tends to get stuck on.  >_<
