Still working on the painting on the pony.  Taking my time on it. It's simple and complicated at the same time. Plus I took some time off to finish up the Love Swap pony.  I'll be back to it after my Vegas trip.

I've been working diligently on mine. I had to do a few things over... and then over... and then over but now it's coming along. I still have sculpting and painting left to do though~ I'm not behind I'm just slooowwww.

mine is done just sitting on a shelf waiting to be packaged. is it ok to mail them in a padded envelope if no sculpting was involved? or would you prefer a box?

I always ship my customs in boxes.

I recommend boxes, but it is up to you how you ship. If you are completely confident the pony will be safe in a padded envelope that's fine. If the customs arrived damaged from poor packing though, I will instruct your partner to include that in your feedback.

I recommend boxes if there is any sculpting on them at all. And tissue and bubble wrap and maybe even a second box (which is what I think I did with the Rainbow of Light custom I did awhile back). And delivery confirmation and insurance.

i was just wondering, cause if a g4 custom was done, wouldnt it be easier to use an envelope for such a small pony than finding a small enough box for it. i will keep an eye out for a box to use to package mine in.

Yes, it's easier with an envelope, but you wouldn't want the paint to scratch or get otherwise damaged. I'm always recommending a box!

After 2 years of sorting mail for my last job and yanking envelopes of ponies out of my tiny mailbox, I've seen enough horrors of what the post office can do to an envelope.  I refuse to ship any ponies in an envelope <.< (I recently bought 3 perfume puffs off ebay, the person shoved them in a thin envelope, which was already bad, but then my mail carrier shoved them in my 4x4x8 box along with a bunch of other mail.  Poor things...)

It's much safer to use a box, especially when it's a custom you put a lot of time into.  Walmart sells boxes, and their smallest size works well for a g4, with a little bit of padding to fill the empty space.
