Can we talk Daiquari Ice?
« on: May 29, 2012, 06:26:22 PM »
I got a hank of it because it looked neat.  Can someone tell me what colors of pony/paint this would work with?  Also, why is a chick with so little color sense creating custom ponies?   :P :P   Thanks!

Blue (especially a shade like that) goes with mostly anything depending on what you're going for, really.

Gray/black for a "color pop" effect

White will give you something kind of sweet and simple, blue and white is a very basic combination

Bright red, orange or yellow for something with a lot of contrast

Minty greens, pinks, lighter purples for a candy-like look

Varying shades of blue/purple for something with a very nice, watery look

The only things I'd say to avoid would be most shades of green, darker reds, and using the exact same shade of blue.  Also, unless you have a really good idea of what you want to do, red/orange/yellow will be pretty hard to pull off.  If you can do it it'll look cool, though :3  it's one of those combos that can look really cool or really terrible
That's just what I find nice looking, of course~

I use it for my Lyra customs. It's one of my favourite shades ^_^

I just got done rehairing a pony with a blend of daiquiri ice, starlight, moonlight and another very, very light gray that I can't recall right now.  It's against a silvery blue.  I'll post pics of her tomorrow.

I'm quirky, but I also like it against pink, green and yellow.  XD

It's definitely one of my favorite colors.  I have a tiny bit left, probably not enough to do anything with, and yet I won't throw it out just in case I find something to do with it.  I used it with Moonlight, with a pale blue pony body for my Tiffany pony.

And here it it with Nickel and Moonlight for my air element pony, Cirrus.

It's got a very delicate look when used with lighter colors.
