Hi! I was wondering if anyone is interested in trading G3 ponies with me. The idea is to keep the Hasbro character, but give them a makeover. For example, giving them a nicer hair colour, bigger cutie mark, making them TAF, adding twinkle eyes/makeup/etc... things like that.
I'd be happy to do this with relatively fast turnover, since it would be simpler than a full character design. I'd like to keep the integrity of the ponies and not involve sculpting or dyeing their bodies.

If you are looking to build feedback up and get some experience I might be able to get my hubby (flarewing) to do a swap with you. If you don't get any interest I will give you a hand, but I want to give newer people the chance at feedback first.

Thanks! I appreciate your support :) I do think this is a good one for newer folks to sink their teeth into.
I like the idea of makeovers, heheh. Some of the ponies have great concepts but underwhelming execution. So I'm hoping to find folks that also really like the idea, not just to do it for the feedback.

I'm not sure what you mean. I was thinking more of taking one of those original ponies like Minty or Toola Roola and giving her a one-of-a-kind custom makeover... not a makeover into a more fancy Hasbro issue of them. But they would still be the original Hasbro character... [size=78%] [/size]
For example, taking Minty and giving her green/red/white hair, and re-doing her cutie mark so its larger and more detailed with pretty scroll work or something.
But yes, those pictures are good examples of the types of things that could be done, though not copying Hasbro re-issues.

Yeah that's what I meant, not taking Minty and making winterMinty, but blinging her out somehow into a cooler Minty =)
I'm definitely not in need of feedback so I'll step aside with Tiella but I love this idea so if you can't find anyone definitely let me know =D

This is a great idea! Hasbro does have some nice ideas... they just don't always quite make the pones as awesome as they could be. I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of your swaps!

This sounds quite fun. I wouldn't be able to start til after easter. Need to get some things done prior. I think I have *counts* two swaps I am in and *counts again* 3 waiting to ship and *one last count* 2 I am finishing up today. :) Being sick will slow you down a touch. The two pony swaps will be finished by easter and that leaves me pretty much free. The actual swaps go on for a while but the ponies will be done :) Pm me if your interested. Not so much a newbie but still working on feedback.
