Rubs to blush as well as the paint on her fins, dry hair, had to behead her to clean out a lot of mold inside (there may still be some traces around her hair roots)

Rub to tooth paint and NDS symbol, very faint stains on body, a tiny bit of tail rust, head was removed and tail washer has been replaced

Pretty good condition; lights still work but there is slightly crinkly tinsel in her mane, and there was a small sticky spot on her dress which I tried to remove, but there still is a faint trace of it

As always, thanks in advance!

Great! Thanks, pinkkittywinks and LadyGuinevere! This is my first Nirvana, and the lot I bought her in included 4 other ponies and cost $25.00, so it looks like I got pretty lucky.

MLP Nirvana / PC on Mexican (?) Baby Surprise (Slightly Image Heavy)
« on: March 28, 2016, 03:21:51 PM »
I got a Baby Surprise in a surprisingly high-quality bait lot a few months ago. I think she's Mexican -- she has a head like Baby Blossom and there's no writing under her hooves.

She has a faint pink stain on her right side, a slight head-body mismatch, there's a little "wart" on her left hindleg and if she is a Mexican variant, I think her mane was cut as well.

Did I ID her correctly, and much would she be worth, given these flaws?

Thanks in advance!

Pony Corral / Re: POTD 3/20/2016 Milky Way
« on: March 28, 2016, 02:59:15 PM »
I managed to get the silver-starred version of her for a great price in a surprisingly high-quality "bait" lot. I already had Merriweather (my only childhood TAF) and Dancing Butterflies (the first TAF I found in a thrift store as an adult), and when I decided to add a unicorn to the group*, I set my sights on Milky Way, and I've had no regrets about getting her (although now that I've seen her in person, the white-starred version of her would be a bit nicer).

*I don't complete sets of G1s very often, but if there's one that I particularly like, I like having one pony of each species to make the portion of a set that I do have feel more complete.

While this episode wasn't one of my favorites, there are still some parts about it that I like.

For one, this episode features an (initially) evil princess, which throws a wrench in the "queens=evil, princesses=good" idea that (if I recall correctly) was why Celestia's title wound up being "Princess" rather than "Queen" in FIM. I also can relate to Shady on some level. (Hmm...why does it always seem to be Earth ponies that have these kind of self-esteem issues?)

I don't think there was a single overt fat joke made throughout the episode (yes, Porcina is pretty big, but to be fair, pigs aren't exactly known for being svelte), and Porcina doesn't magically become "truly beautiful" at the end, either -- she just stops becoming overly obsessed with her appearance and gains a group of friends who accept her regardless of her looks.

I had both of them as a kid and just today got Baby Stripes! I'm hoping to get Baby Nectar as well sometime soon.

Not sure if this qualifies, but I got MM Cuddles in a bag from a thrift store recently, and when I took her out of the bag, her hair looked like this:

It looked so "organic" that I was tempted to  leave it as it is rather than having it all fall on one side of her neck in the "traditional" style.

And then there's Wind Drifter's possessed hair:

Pony Corral / Re: Any other "Fakie" collectors out there?
« on: December 14, 2015, 02:22:18 PM »
I collect some fakies, though I tend to be pretty selective, since not all of them interest me and I don't have a lot of pony space.

Here's the bulk of my collection...

And these two are my most recent additions, though I doubt I'll be keeping them. The pink Lanard's mane and tail are attached to her legs with elastic bands, as if she was just taken out of her packaging.

Pony Corral / Re: Mystery Marks on FT Baby North Star
« on: November 22, 2015, 03:29:57 PM »
It's been a while, but I tried sunfading Baby North Star for about a month, and it really helped! The orange marks (as well as the pen mark under her hoof) are almost completely gone now. Thanks again for the advice, everyone!

Pony Corral / Re: Are ponies born with cutie marks? (G1)

Something which I don't see brought up very often is that Ember isn't the only G1 pony without a symbol -- the Merry-Go-Round, Ballerina and Secret Surprise ponies (most of which are adults) don't have any either (unless you consider their "wardrobe" to be their symbol).

(I actually also had the same idea that baby ponies' symbols and names would change as they got older, a bit like how people in some cultures have different names as babies, children, adults and seniors that reflect who they are.)

I actually made this purchase with a credit card, so I'll try doing the same thing with the credit card company.

Thank you for the advice!
