Collector post Brazil Gusty.
Plus any other version of Gusty I don't already have.
Non-hideous eyes Baby Gusty.

Did I mention I really like Gusty?

I had no idea she was so prone to fading.  She actually looks gorgeous that way though.

DISREGARD SHE'S BEEN FOUND - If you have a spare Snowball/Catnip the white cat I'm looking for her. She doesn't have to be mint condition.
Shipping needs to be to Canada.

Thanks.

I've been doing some pony buying online.   So I have some new pretties to keep my company during lock down.    There are trails near me that I go to for long walks and started taking ponies with me to photograph along the way.   I had posted a few online and people really enjoyed them and started requesting me to do pics of this or that pony.    It cheers me up and cheers others up.
I have been doing  a lot of painting and switched over to doing pony paintings.   Why I never thought of painting ponies before I'll never know but I am loving doing them.
If anyone wants to see the photos etc I've been posting them on instagram @colouratura1 and Colouratura Customs on FB.   Not an ad, just look and enjoy.  :)  I promise to keep adding more pics and paintings.

Pony Corral / Re: Basic Fun is worried about their retailers...

I totally agree with you. There are so many Basic Fun items I'd love but it's just so darn hard to find any of them.   Where I live the only things I ever found were the collector and a few rainbow ponies.     Any others I was only able to find because I was on vacation and even then had to go to every single Target in the area to try and find ponies.    Even when Target had the items they weren't always on the shelves and I had to ask for them.     It would be so much easier to buy them from and online Basic Fun shop.

They're cute but I keep calling the new toys My Little Kitty as to me they look more cat like than like ponies.  The short muzzles, big ears, front facing eyes.  Yup, they're cats.

I love figurines that have great details but if they're in the $400 or $500 range then that's way too much for me.   It's art though so it's subjective.   To some it might hold that value and to others they'll feel it's not worth $20.

Oooh a Tokidoki G1 MLP crossover?  Yes please.

In humans we can be contagious for weeks but on surfaces typically the longest is 6 or 7 days for plastic and metal.  There were a few cases on one of the Princess cruise ships where the virus was found in staterooms 14 days later but that was a strange situation all around.   It hasn't so far been replicated in labs.

What I have done is put on rubber gloves to take the package and get ride of the packing and trash it immediately.   Then if the item can be wiped down with sanitizing wipes I do that keeping one clean gloved hand and the other for handing the not clean pony.   Or give the item a wash with warm soapy water (if that's safe for the item) and give it a scrub.  The virus has a thin fatty layer so soapy water destroys that layer and then the virus cannot survive long after.

Then I put clean pony/item aside and then while the rubber gloves are still on wash them with very hot soapy water and scrub away and then slip them off to dry.     I have two high risk people in my home so I definitely take things seriously.

Pony Corral / Re: Powder Pose
« on: May 02, 2020, 08:31:35 AM »
I wonder if it could have something to do with that pose being hard to remove from the mold? Wasn’t there some story like that on....was it the bubbles sitting pose? I may be imagining this whole thing but that’s the only reason I can think of why a pose would be seldom used

Yes.  When Kirk Hindman designed the sitting pose, her back legs originally were meant to be splayed out a bit to the sides.  He got approval all the way up to mold making where the design was then rejected because it was too hard to get her out of the mold.   So she was redesigned in the sitting pose we now have.

Fun fact.  The sitting pose is Kirk's favourite of the poses he made.
