If you are wanting to cut down on soda, I have a tip. It only works if you drink from the can though because you can cheat by using ice. Anyway, allow yourself a certain number a day and only put those in the fridge. I drink two sodas a day, so there is only ever two cold and ready to drink. Before going to bed, I stick another two in for the next day. Also, drinking more water will help too. I bought a couple of these - 32oz water bottles - and love them. Having them really makes me drink more water. I rotate having one in the fridge so I can always have cold water.
I'm giving the My Fitness Pal app a try. I haven't been able to sync it to my Fitbit yet but I don't really mind logging my food in to 2 apps.My supplement that I'm supposed to use with the Slim Shots arrived today. They were delayed due to the pharmacy being short staffed. I had blood drawn last week and yesterday my drs office called and said that I needed to meet with the dr today. He told me that my fasting glucose and my A1C levels show that I'm a pre-diabetic. He's concerned but thinks I can get it down to a more normal level by losing weight and watching what I eat. He told me I need to cut back on carbs and sugary beverages. He said Coke Zeroes are okay since they don't have sugar. I'm already at/over my calorie count for today. I went out to eat after my drs appointment. I'm skipping lunch though so that should save some calories. My dr also recommended intermittent fasting but due to my work schedule (I usually have to get up at 5:30 am for work) I'm not sure that it's a viable option for me. I lost a pound this week. Ponyfan

My moms Physical Therapist said to me, "If it hurts Use it!" I'm now signing up for Physical Therapy Also... I need to find out what is wrong first with an MRI. Then I can see a specialist and they can hook me up with more referrals to other services. I did have PT for my back a couple of years ago and it helped a lot. Sometimes the therapy consisted of an intense massage which was great!

Wow Ponyfan, you are rocking it! Congrats on the weight loss! Starflashbaby, I’m admittedly not the best about tracking my calories consistently through the day, but I try and enter them evoke or after every meal so I don’t forget what I actually ate. Sometimes though I forget and I’m logging everything at the end of my day. Sometimes my parents get annoyed that I keep close tabs on my calorie intake like that, but I’ve let them know I have to do it so I can stay on track. It’s easier for me to overeat if I don’t log it all.I haven’t lost anymore weight, but I’m not gaining either, so I guess that’s okay. I’m pretty consistently coming in under my calorie goal for the day, so at this point I think I need to work on getting more active, I’ve been pretty bad about exercising lately. I recently got my blood work done and was told every thing was normal and my cholesterol was quote, “excellent” so I’m happy about that! I’m always worried I eat too much sugar and sodium. I’m also feeling a little more empowered because I found a sugar free soda I really like! The Zevia brand has no artificial sweeteners and no sugar. I did some reading up on it to be safe and it sounds like it’s a pretty neutral drink health wise. It doesn’t offer any nutritional benefit, but there have been no negative effects associated with drinking it, so yay for guilt free soda! Finding a natural sugar alternative I actually like has also inspired me to try some new sugar free recipients. Turns out Stevia is really hard to bake with, but I found a monk fruit blend on Amazon that appears to be mostly natural and has 0 calories, so I’m going to experiment with that and see if I can make some tasty treats I don’t have to feel guilty about.
