I am positive they will all come with serious quality errors. I love the Funko ponies, but the factory that they are using is pretty sloppy when it comes to the screening details. It is rare to get a pony without the eyes being slightly off kilter, or glue streaks, or sloppy paint...
For some reason the mini-funkos don't seem to have near the same problems, not sure why. I hope they do minis of ALL the new characters!!!
Funko should sell pony paint so we can recolor duplicates and make some amazing customs, as well as touch them up if they have errors! :) Problem solved!

I have given up on the G4 brushable line due to lack of new characters. However I went into TRU the other day and saw a whole bunch of these. I never bought one before, but I ended up buying 7 of them and really liking them. At least the G4 line gets new characters this way. I am sad the brushables seem to be going the way of core 7.

Well if they fixed the last wave that's news to me and great- because I have had a LOT of quality problems with nearly all the Funkos I have bought. I bought like 10-15 each of Lyra, Spitfire, Sweetie Drops and Pinkie (to get sparkles)- and only like two out of each lot looked good- the rest had some serious problems (mostly off-kilter eyes). Also nearly all of my sparkly ponies have really large glue drips and marks - the worst being Octavia and DJ. Of course we all know that most of the Dashes were a complete disaster, the regular, second edition and sparkly versions- all had super sloppy painted tails and manes.
I'm not saying it's impossible to find nice looking Funkos- but their track record so far has not been great. If that has changed with the very last wave, well I can just say that I hope you are right but I won't hold my breath.

A lady at the HT Stonebriar said that to me too! That the glitters are online only!! I told her I find them occasionally at other malls and other collectors find them in stores and she didnt believe me! What is it with that mall and lies!? @_@

Yep. Well looks like we have covered all the big cities in our area.....I'm going to start calling up there and checking during this week and next. Will let you know when they come in! Of course I am being ridiculously impatient, and hoped a preorder would save me from driving all over. So I am trying really hard to just not do that. The order will come, but I was hoping it would be before street obviously. Otherwise what is the point. Clearly I'm too grumpy.
I agree with everyone else about this pre-order stuff...... I thought the point of PRE-order is you get them before store release.... Otherwise it seems like they're punishing those who do pre-order. Hot Topic you may have lost my business after this transaction....When you pre-order something from a store, you aren't actually guaranteed to get it before in-store release (or street date) you are just guaranteed how many of that item you pre-ordered.
I noticed that on the Hot Topic website that when you click on AJ and Big Mac it doesn't say the street date anymore. It used to say Street Date 29th........that is kind of strange. Is it because they are already showing up in stores??? But I mean they are in control of when they are shipped so why put a street date if you are just going to ship them whenever?? :lol: Its a mystery........... :blink:

Man, I picked the best time to go to Hot Topic. I got there literally an hour after the employee had opened the box and displayed the Funkos, so I managed to snag myself a glitter AJ (I LOVE her, her body color looks like orange soda, lol). Also got a regular AJ too ^_^

I emailed to ask the status of our order yesterday (because I always have problems logging in to my account, no matter how many times they try to fix the problem), and they told me "it appears to be a pre-order which will not ship until the street date". So, how do they define street date??? I would call it "if it's on the shelves for people to purchase at the stores, it has passed the street date"! arg! Still waiting for response to my (more polite than ranted here lol) response query about that aspect.
They are still doing it, going by my HT store having the BOGO deal today. :)

Yea...I think you could be right about that......I personally think it would be better if they sold the glitters separately for a little higher of a price. They could still make them more limited but then you wouldn't have to worry about either having to hunt them down or pay ridiculous ebay prices. I know they are meant to be "chase" items but its more stressful than anything. My Hot Topic has told me that they usually only get in 1 glitter pony so even if I call up there everyday I still have a small chance of getting it...and for people like me...I don't have 50-75 dollars to spend on a pony -_-

I ordered online on a website that recently got them in stock, I asked if they got their product directly from funko they said yes, so I ordered a bunch of them and got one in the mix! Sadly the site is outta stock now I think I wiped them out..

I had my order shipped to store and I didn't get a glitter variant,but it was cool to be able to get one alot earlier than most seem to be! They still aren't actually in stock in the store, I just got one Big Mac.
Mine arrived with a dented up box though,which is odd seeing as it was shipped with packaging around it. Wonder why.
I also noticed that my local store has all the Funko Ponies very high up on a shelf so you can't pick them up yourself. Why is that?=/ I don't really like having to ask employees to get an item for me...

I also have a question for anyone who knows about this...........I'm a little confused as to when and how glitters come out....because on the toysrus website it doesn't say anything about 1 in 24 will receive a glitter variant so does that mean that they don't have glitters of Octavia and DJ?? Which I know they exist because I have seen both but were the glitters only available when they were at Hot Topic or do other places get them too???

I had my order shipped to store and I didn't get a glitter variant,but it was cool to be able to get one alot earlier than most seem to be! They still aren't actually in stock in the store, I just got one Big Mac.
Mine arrived with a dented up box though,which is odd seeing as it was shipped with packaging around it. Wonder why.
I also noticed that my local store has all the Funko Ponies very high up on a shelf so you can't pick them up yourself. Why is that?=/ I don't really like having to ask employees to get an item for me...
I have the exact same problem at mine...they are so high up you can't reach them at all. And of course that really sucks with the Funko Vinyls cause you need to check them all to find the best paint job...but obviously the employees don't want to get every single one down for you........
Ugh!! and when I asked at my Hot Topic for them to get some down the girl didn't even get a ladder she just took a big stick and started whacking them off the shelf :shocked: :shocked: I was like STOP!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I've seen glitter :muffin: at Barnes and Noble. I already had it so I didn't pick her up but she was there sans the exclusive sticker on the front.

I camped outside HT yesterday morning for half an hour waiting for them to open. They still don't have any in stock. I asked just to be sure and they said they were still on preorder. I'm tempted to just order another set and hope for a glitter AJ. My husband's going to check HT for me again today since he'll be close by but I'm not hopeful.
Wow so I pretty much found out that my boxes have been sitting at the post office all day and need to be sorted.... and I'm not getting them not until tomorrow... cries :cry:

I didn't realize it at first, but Daring Do is the first (Funko) pegasos pony with folded wings and I approve that, she would look completely stupid with wings opened.Oh wow you're right! I wished they would have done fluttershy with closed wings....

Finally! I'm so excited for Rarity. She looks great!
I wound up cancelling my order for Big Mac and I'm glad I did. I fell out of love with him about a week later. :P I can't wait for Rarity though, and this is one glitter I am going to track down for sure.

I have totally gotten frustrated with waiting also and calling when there is no sign of them in NC either. Then I saw yesterday that they are almost gone on the HT website so I went ahead and ordered a Big Mac. Don't think I have much of a chance of getting a glitter but oh well...at least I will have my Big Mac.

Hot Topic has tricked me!!!! :lol: OH well...I have been dying for a Big Mac anyway.......and I ordered over the phone yesterday and when I asked the guy if I would still get my 30 percent off for the internet special they had going on he put that onto the 12.54....??...I don't know...but my order ended up being only 9.69 so I'm not complaining. Not a bad deal. Would be an even more spectacular deal if I got a glitter Big Mac :bubble: Please don't pop my bubble!!! Lol
I wonder if TRU will get dibs on any other characters again. I'd expect if they do it'd be a pair of secondary or tertiary characters again and would assume that Rarity & Daring Do will be HT pre-releases as usual.

Anyways now that I have cooled off a little bit I'm very excited about the Big Mac/AJ wave Big Mac may just be my favorite release from Funko yet its pretty close to Lyra/Bon Bon! I was disappointed I ordered so many and only got 1 glitter, while last wave I got 5 glitters ordering the same amount but you know you win some you lose some, can't always have the best of luck it just sucked on top of everything because my orders were so late and no sign of ponies in store. Hopefully next time around it will go better :)

I've been trying to hunt down a glitter Octavia recently and it ended up with me checking into some nearby comic shops today. It looks like they're releasing a "new" set to small retailers that consists of DJ, Octavia, Sweetie Drops (bonbon) and Spitfire. I believe this is where the glitter sweetie and spitfire is coming from. Especially since their 'release date' for these is around now (june) so... that's my theory. :b
Sadly none of the shops near me are carrying them, but one of them did show me the retailer catalogue that showed that was the assortment they could order.

That is where I got mine- I think they are just more popular than the other ponies.
I'm pretty sure the Funko releases at Toys R Us are Spitfire/Bon Bon in one box, and then everyone else in one assortment box. My TRU only ever has 1 Octavia/DJ on the shelf at a time (and about 1 of each of the others) but then LOADS AND LOADS of spitfires and Bon Bons. :|
I even asked an employee there and the case SKU were scanning the same for all the other ponies except Spitfire/Bon Bon who shared the same case number, or however it is they do it.
But maybe that's just at my store? I dunno. He was really helpful and I just need to see if I can keep checking/stalking their store in case they get more in, but considering there are so many Funko figures there they're practically spilling off the shelf I don't see them ordering anymore any time soon. -_-;;

For TRU I'm pretty sure that Spitfire/Bon Bon share a number, Rainbow/:muffin: Pony/Dr. Whooves/Fluttershy shared a number with no glitters just a assortment for the four of them, they no longer restock these as far as I know. Lyra/Pinkie shared a number with glitters from what I tell they come in a box of 3 each and glitters are possible. Then lastly DJ/Octavia shipped together in a box of 3 each I believe glitters are possible even though I have never seen them!

My Funko collection :) I've got the minis, two glitter Doc Whooves and glitter Rainbow in another cubby. I think the Funkos are my favorite part of G4 to collect.
You can't see the back row really we'll in the picture...it's Spitfire, Muffin Pony, Octavia and Doc Whooves. The only one I don't have is DJ, but I'm not bothered by that because I'm not really a fan. Applejack and Rainbow are my favorites, I think.

I think she looks really neat. Her nds eye is pretty flawed though which is quite disappointing. I might be able to touch it up a bit but the white part is like smeared looking :( She has a little stray orange mark on her tail too. I'm a little more forgiving of paint flaws on the glitters but the eye kinda bugs me, especially as I display my funkos facing forward. I'm still happy to have her. She is a cool color of blue. I just need glitter Big Mac now!

Thanks. Yes I did get her off ebay. I understand they kinda had to do solid ears/nose because those are painted on, but the hair might have looked neat if it were translucent. I think she's cool how she is though. I know 2 HT in my area got Big Mac, just no glitters. I haven't checked with the other ones in the past week as I wouldn't have had time to drive out anyway.
Well...1/2 of my order arrived at Hot Topic.Hope you get some glitters , no pony luck for me this time around :(

I'm pretty bummed about that. I saw Glitter Bon Bon hit $154 and I was like "Nope. Never owning this one. That's ridiculous." I could justify if it was bigger or a con exclusive, but come on, its not worth that much... and Bon Bon is one of the few ponies I actively collect...Yep same here :)
I think it's just the "new funko must get" syndrome and will die down to $50 range.

I thought I was splurging and being impatient at the time doing BINs on my Bon Bon & Spitfire but now I feel kinda lucky to have snagged them at the prices I did, seeing what some of these auctions are getting up to atm. They might have been lying. I had called my store before asking about glitters, and they said they had none. When I went into the store I found one sitting on the shelf. Luckily though, I only live about 5 minutes from my store so its not a big problem to check. I just was feeling kind of lazy that day. Wow you're right thats double what I got my my extra dang I should have put it as an auction lol. Both of them are over $300 thats crazy and still more days to go! I hear you on Big Mac I was lucky enough to snag mine for a good BIN wasn't easy though! Best of luck to you, Big Mac/AJ wave has been the WORST for glitters for me. First out of all my orders only 1 glitter AJ and no Big Mac. Then out of the four stores semi near to me none got glitters, not a single one unless they are lieing.

My store gave me a big stink about returning them. I had four to return. I never order that many but I know some of you do! I was wondering of you sell them fast.
Well, they told me their register was already in the negative and they would be very unhappy.
I only had four. I didn't think that was too many. :(Four isn't a lot at all. I could see/understand them getting upset if you wanted to return like (for example) 40+ Funko ponies all at one time, but just four? That's a really small amount to get upset over. It wasn't right for the store to get mad at you for returning them. Like LittleSpiffy said, it's not your fault/problem that their register is in the red.

I got mine at TRU, I picked through sooo many of them before finding one that looked decent! My glitter Spitfire however is near flawless!!!! =D

I'm afraid they might go over a thousand...I would not be surprised if a Glitter Princess Luna went over $1000+. Or even $2000+ if a big-enough bidding war happened. :shocked:

WOW INSANE FIND! You realize that Glitter Spitfire sold for $660 and Bon Bon sold for $330 right!? How much were they??? I would have bought them all besides Rainbow and :muffin: Pony! It looks like $50 each say you spent $200 for the four Octavia, DJ, Spitfire, and Bon Bon and put them up on ebay you could end up making $1110 on them! Aquatic- one of them is my first one, im probably going to sell all 3 of these! I can always buy Spitfire and Bon Bon later since I didnt expect to find them but it depends on how my first Spitfire sells. I got them from a comic book store called Madness Comic and Games (a chain I think?) They order large amount of funkos and always seem to get glitters. I have not checked out Toys R Us or HT for glitter variants in a long long time. The HT lady in my area loves to lie and play dumb with me even though she knows im onto her! :lol:

Someone here posted they do have limits on how many they can take back if you ordered them online, they will make you return them directly to them and not the store, also if you pay with paypal ,they won't take them back at the store, they have to be returned to them , i believe their limit to take back is less than 10 , but the only time I returned some ,were for the quality issues on the Pinkie and Lyra, I did not want to get in trouble with people buying them from me and then complaining about the quality issues :(, so I sent them back directly and i remember they wanted me to pay for the return shipping and I escalated to a manager who listened to the quality issue and authorized a free shipping label to be issued for my case of 12 funkos .That's why I don't like the idea of people ordering a ton online only to return them to a Hot Topic store- if that store sees a loss on that product, they are not likely to reorder...
I will admit it has surprised me that this has not become a factor for some retailers. Returns are always factored in to decisions on stock and whether or not its worth continuing to order. I wont be surprised if eventually we start seeing limitations on quantities of purchase. I would say I guess it depends on the scale which this happens on?

I think my dear husband just bought me sparkle Spitfire and Bon Bon. I haven't seen them yet, but I am so excited! Now I only need Pinkie and I will have all the current glitters. So frustrating to search for!!! So thrilling to get!

They have revealed a bit from here and there. The lowest revealed hint on the list so far is #40. Assumed ponies are #48 and #49 on the list. With their current reveal pace, it takes just before SDCC until all have been revealed. So with bad luck it may take three weeks or so before we have our pony reveal (if indeed those two entries on the list were ponies in the first place).
I'm still hunting for my glitter AJ...
...buuuuuut...

Well my master plan of buying 24-36 ponies at a time & returning the non-glitters at the store ended.wow they are being very nice to you :) how many glitters did you get out of all the shipments ?
The district manager called me & told me it's messing up distribution...and I can't do it anymore :(
Tge thing is: I have another 36 AJ's at the store (or about to be). I called customer service & they'll work something out with me regarding the return shipping costs...after I pick them up.

People are dissappointed because they are the same as the minis, if they would have made them glow in the dark versions or something would have been much better, or Rainbow Dash with wonderbolts outfit colors painted on.

I don't like Spitfire's eyes either. I LOVE this pony and her color/design, but the Funko version looks like she's stoned or something. It looks very odd. Maybe they made her eyes a bit TOO slitted. Not something easily fixed either. Somehow it doesn't look so horrible on the tiny figures...

It's interesting that normal-sized Discord is in a different pose than mini-Discord. I wonder why that is? I wouldn't think they'd use multiple poses for one character.

I saw someone mention that they saw the concept wall over on the Funko forum.
I would guess a concept wall is like what most of us work to in product design - which is thoughts and possible options...not actual releases unfortunately.

I think only one wave they were early correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was the Lyra/Pinkie wave? All others seems to be weeks late from what I remember especially the last three waves.

Went by my local HT today... there were no Funko Vinyls in the store, but a wall... literally floor to cieling, a section devoted just to POPs.My local HT has the same setup except the vinyl ponies are on the top shelf touching the ceiling, so it's impossible to rifle through them for glitters. I think that's why they were put up there? Not sure. It's a really confusing setup that makes it impossible to figure out what ponies they have in stock.

In typical Tulsa fashion, the man I spoke to at the local Hot Topic didn't even know what a "Funko Rarity" was.Whenever I call stores, I just try to simplify it as possible. Like I'd say " Do you have any of the My Little Pony figurines? They're kinda big, come in a black see-through box, ect.". If they say yes, I try to say (for example) " Do you have one named AppleJack? She's orange with yellow hair, has a cowboy hat on, ect."

I knew they were gonna do a great job with Rarity's mane, but it makes her look so animated I feel like she could start talking and prancing around any second, wow! Can't wait to get mine!

If you want more show-accurate I suggest you buy a Rainbowdash and paint it yourself. Expecting show accurate from anything that isn't a customizer is a bit ridiculous.
Also where are people buying these glow in the dark pinkie pie and rainbow dashes? Are they on Taobao?

Really? I don't think it's ridiculous at all :P The reason everybody loves these is because they ARE so show-accurate! I'm not asking for super-fine details like individual coat hairs, just correctly-ordered mane colours. It'd be as simple as changing it from blue-red-yellow to red-orange-yellow, really. Wouldn't require a change in mold, just paint.
but if they did change the mold I'd really like her green-blue-purple hair on one side only as opposed to both! I think they got that idea off the blind bags, and they haven't done it for any other characters. Thankfully.

Glitter Rarity is pretty but I wish they would've made her clear with glitter like the other chase variants. Instead of looking white or crystal like, she looks like she's pink :huh: I'm happy for everyone that gets her though :)
I agree on Cadence and Shining Armor.... they're hardly background ponies after all, and their designs are very good. They'd sell well. Roseluck, Daisy, and Lily are possible too; they're popular in their own way. Then there's Babs, the other foals at Ponyville school, Cheerilee, the Mysterious Mare Do Well could be another Comic Con exclusive... not to mention other villains. After all, Discord is more villain-esque in his release with his maniacal poses. So Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis, Sombra, maybe even Tirek. Although Tirek would be a positively massive figure.....

Houstoncollector's looks pretty white to me. She has a milky look, like light through smoke... look at his pictures, you'll see what I mean. She's not soda clear like the others, definitely more translucent, but still see through enough and not as pink as she seems. It's just the purple hair parts and purple glitter in her, she would have wound up looking pink either way.... probably why DJ was so dark in her chase.

Maybe it's my screen? I thought she had a milky appearance, but I didn't see the pink tint until Mori posted her photo's. I guess I was hoping she'd look more like her Glitter BB release.

Yeah! A group or trading thread would be great! I'd love that as long as there is no price policing. (There is a lot of name calling and whatnot going on in another collector group I'm in right now and it's really irritating. I'd hate to see that happen here. Hunting chase figures can take a lot of time and gas often without success and you can't always find a trade partner. I know we all would like to be able to buy glitters at retail but I can't blame someone for asking market value.)
I'm up for the group, too. I've found 2 glitters but I hope I can find them more often as I'll be working at my local TRU soon and the Hot Topic is in the mall across the street, which means I'll be stopping by often. :satisfied:

You should definitely try to go. I have been to the old hq and the new hq. Got a tour of both it's really cool. If you time it right you might be able to get a preview of upcoming releases but also see prototypes. My last tour was when we saw prototypes of daring do and rarity. So when I was there I saw the proto type as well as hand painted proto type of rarity. Also got to peek at the concept board.
It's really cool oh and I met the designer who works on the mlp line. There are a few designers but just 1 who does the ponies.

Not officially. When I was there it was all about SDCC so I knew most if the SDCC exclusives before they were announced. There were a ton of projects on the concept board but some may be coming out this year or some may come next year.
I would prefer not to say who I saw as there was no timeline for their release. I also wouldn't want to say and have it turn out that funko or hasbro changes things up.
I can say there should be a target exclusive variant coming this oct/nov

Same thing just happened to me! My bf just called because I told him to go to Hot Topic again. When he went on Friday he got a glitter Discord for me but the girl said that they didn't get Daring Do in and said that they would probably get them Monday. He went in there today and the guy working knows us and whenever he sees glitters he holds them for me. My bf grabbed a regular Daring Do and the guy working said "Hey I have something for you!" My bf was like what? For me? He goes out back and brings up a glitter Daring Do!!!! Apparently what happen was Friday they did get Daring Do in but didn't realize it until they unpacked everything. After all, isn't the glitter rate a 1/24? It doesn't mean that you are guaranteed a glitter if you order more than 24 of a character - you just have a slim chance of getting a glitter of said character. And to be honest, I don't think it's all that unfair if someone who ends up with a glitter only ordered a couple of Funkos (if not only one of them). Everyone should be able to get a chance of getting a glitter after all, no matter how many or little they ordered. That's just how luck is, unfortunately. I do understand why you are so frustrated about it though Neon, don't get me wrong.

Who knows, I heard a rumor that they're starting to intentionally not pack too many glitters in larger orders to discourage people from buying and returning masses of ponies, but it is just a rumor.

Thats actually not how it works. 1/24 simply means that for every 24 ponies produced 1 of them is a glitter it does not mean that if you buy 24 you are guaranteed a glitter. You could buy 24 and get 2 glitters, you could buy 24 and get 0 glitters - those are still 1 in 24 odds when you consider probability and those are the risks you have to take. Sucks...but true. Odds are the chance of something happening; they are not a guarantee of something happening. And I would not be surprised if there was perhaps a comment about discouraging large orders which are then returned in bulk either - thats a pain for any retailer.

Well I think the reason I got so many on the Twilight/Trixie wave was because I had less orders and larger orders, meaning their were sealed factory cases of 12 and 12 in a 24 box inside thats where most the glitter came from.I do not return them either , the only time I returned some were with Pinkie Pie and Lyra .

also, it's easier for any warehouse picker regardless of who the order ships to that when someone orders a case to just grab a case rather than take individuals and put them into a case. I used to work at a warehouse and this was always preferable.

Yeah LOL he does own all the current glitters but he got a lot of those from finding extras and traded them for ones he doesnt have! He probably wants more right now to save for the next wave incase he cant find glitters in the future. Sometimes even the pros have bad luck during certain waves! That aaand he keeps and eye out for extras for his friends :D

For example, I don't like Discord's or Octavia's glitter variant.
Soooooo....all of the glitter ponies I own are black light responsive. Lyra's my fave - her mane comes up HOT PINK :DI have to get me a black light :) errrrrrrrr I do need to check my skin too you know.......:) is very important I get my Skin checked ,right ? right ! :)

Any west coast stores got the ponies in yet? Wondering if this wave is skipping my store. It should have arrived by now if it shipped by the street date. It's not like my store can't sell the vinyl ponies. There is just 1 big Mac and 1 trixie left. I can confirm all HT syores in DFW dont have this new wave in stock :( I think some people in Houston are having problems finding them too! Did HT forget about Texss or somethibg? That's so crazy that so many places haven't gotten the new ponies yet. I was shocked that my local Hot Topic had them on the shelves when I went to pick up my pre-order. That's never happened before, because usually we here on the east coast are the last to get them. I hope they show up for you guys soon!
Also, two of the Hot Topic's near me doesn't have Daring Do, but they have Rarity and Discord. I find that really odd. Especially since the one closest to me actually does have all 3 of the new figures.

It seems a lot of people along the new england coast has gotten them in, and the rest of the US hasnt? This is so strange! We do have series 2 of the minis however. Does anyone think the rest of the US not getting in the new wave have something to do with Discord not being availible online? Maybe they sold out entirley and are producing more before distributing them to the rest of the US?
I hope this means that they're just having an issue this time around, and it won't impact future releases.

I honestly don't think they could do Nightmare Moon, not with her hair being...not really even hair. The plastic would have to be thinner to get it right and that would make her prone to breaking during shipping, and her box would have to be HUGE in order to accommodate it. I could see them maaaybe doing her as an exclusive figure, but not on a mass release like the rest it would just be too expensive.
Of course they did make a Sharknado POP figure, so what do I know?

I am honestly happier with Funko's work over Hasbros. Funko is amazing!! Better show accuracy and quality than what Hasbro could ever do! :-) I think they might do Celestia and Luna maybe soon! I would still die over a Cadance!! I would LOVE to see some princesses soooooon since we are done with the mane 6! Maybe Sunset Shimmer is on the list!? So many possibilities!
I really like the Funko ponies but i disagree with the quality thing. I don't own a single Funko pony that doesn't have some kind of messed up paint or glue sticking to them. Even my Glitter Dj pon-3 has black marks inside her legs.
I find it sad that people actually have to order several of them just to get a decent looking one.

As far as quality control goes, I guess I have gotten lucky with my figures since they all seem to look pretty good whenever I take them out of their box.
I'm with you on that one, I've been pretty lucky with mine. There may be some minor problems with a few of the figures, but nothing too noticeable. Nothing worth complaining about anyway.
I think my biggest issue is that the first few waves of ponies don't have cutie marks on both sides. It's not a huge deal, but I wonder why they didn't do them on both sides from the beginning?
I find it so crazy she told me that, especially since this is the same HT that i got the Series 2 Minis (and they had received another box of them a few days ago). It kinda has me wondering if it's not just my store but maybe the whole HT company in general as far as if/when the new big Funkos will be in more stores (if that makes sense).My Rainbow Dash, :muffin:, Fluttershy, Doctor Hooves, Lyra, Bon Bon, and Pinkie Pie all have one cutie mark, and since Fluttershy's box was facing the opposite way, her cutie mark isn't on the same side as the others. Spitfire just has one logo on the side of her uniform as well.
I didn't even notice about the first ones only have one cutie mark. Heh, maybe i should check my Funkos and see if they have one cutie marks or two. xD

I have been disappointed by the selection in DFW lately, so I have been doing the website orders & hoping for the best.
...unfortunately, website ordering means I also strike out a lot. hahaha
What I'm picking up is that there's a rarity of Hot Topics actually getting all 3 of the new figures. Weird.
Well it's because Discord sold out on the site so quickly with preorders, and I think they are testing Daring out at not as many locations. Hard to say if all stores will get all three, because it seems they ship them once and thats it until next wave.I figured that's what was up.
Found my first glitter in the wild! Snagged a Rarity as fast as I could. She's really pretty but I'd much rather have glitter Daring Do so up for trade she goes. The store didn't even have a regular Daring Do. With the amount of people looking for her finding one is gonna be tough.

I know we haven't seen prototypes for anything new yet, but a part of me is reeeeaaallyyyy hoping we'll see at least one more wave of figures before the year is up! I was *super* lucky with my Rarity package - it included *2* glitter Rarity ponies! I have *never* gotten a glitter in all of the Funkos from HT, so it was a super duper cool surprise. After I danced around the living room, my husband joked that I am gonna hoard all the glitters.
I didn't have the heart to tell him I already want to :P
I hope for the new pre-order round, it will be at least one of the Princesses/Chrysalis. I totally would order two of each with a Hot Cash code.

My search for (big) Discord is over: peeked into my Hot Topic today, saw they had two Discords at the front, something told me to look further back into the store, and I saw they had four other Discords on the other side of the register area (near their clearance/records/jewelry area), with one of them being a glitter. Ithrew a master ball at itbought it after being in shock for a few moments. ^^;
So I guess my store only got in a box of six of them? Unless they had more in the back. They still have a lot of AJs and BMacs, which frustrates me. xD

Yea AJ will be the last one, I really hope we get new figures up for preorder, but it almost seems a bit too soon? Houston is good at knowing this stuff, I wonder what he thinks? Is this the last Hot Cash of the year, since we know the ponies always come up during Hot Cash, or will there be more? And you know we never saw the prototypes of Trixie and Twilight before we saw them up for preorder, so we have a chance this time around!

I ALMOST got the pumpkin spice M&Ms since im vegetarian now (for this month and octtober for candy then ill go vegan again lol) but I was fighting between that, the candy corn and the peanut ones. Peanut won LOL! Its a shame they didnt taste very pumpkin-ish, but I had the coconut ones before and I remeber them tasting no different than the regular milk chocolate.The candy corn ones aren't very good, but then again I'm not a huge fan of overly sweet things.
Back on subject, LOL, I went to the comic book store and got caught up with those! I have sooo many comics to read! As far as glitter Funkos, they had o.ly these left:

This is the only wave I haven't pre-ordered besides the Fluttershy/Dr. Whooves wave (because I wanted to be sure to get a green tie Dr.). Rarity's figure is so great!
Glitter Rarity has grown on me. At first I didn't like how she wasn't as clear as the others. I was really hoping she'd have the same glitter body as DJ Pon-3, but I'm really starting to like hers despite that.
Oh, and speaking of pictures, I love this one a whole lot so I want to share! These are probably my two favorite glitters because I love their colors and they're my favorite background ponies!

DJ is a WHITE white pony, and Rarity is white touched with gray... but DJ's clear figure of course looks gray, and so to make it plain for Rarity's gray hue they made her that smokey milky clear variety?DJ is a slightly yellowish white pony..

They moved the Funko Vinyls up to a shelf you can't reach and as I was chatting with the surprsingly kind employees (seriously, recently we've had a wave of wonderful workers there) one said in the last shipment they got 1 glitter, a Discord, and an employee bought it for a family member... so, I doubt I'll be finding glitters there anymore.I'm just tall enough to reach the shelf that I've seen some of the figures on, although there was one Hot Topic that had them on a shelf so high that an employee had to go get a ladder out. well, THAT is against policy right there. Employees have a hold where they aren't supposed to buy new things for X weeks after a new item comes out. ...sounds like someone broke that rule
The 2 HT nearest me just started doing this. The pony vinyls are on the freaking ceiling. I'm sure mine does this too- the Funko ponies are super high up, you have to ask to get any of them down so you certainly can't check out multiples for glitters, if they even kept glitters up there.
