Thank you all for the warm reception. Friendship is Magic is a beacon of good morals (mostly) in a sea of filth. Good to know that others share my love for the show.  :)

Thank you for the warm reception. Seems like an excellent site, with a community of kindhearted folk. I have every bit of faith that enjoying myself will be no issue. : )

Introductions / Hello From The Eastern US

Greetings Everyone,

I am thirty-two and hail from North Carolina. I was introduced to this site by a colleague from work.

I do not collect MLP figurines or otherwise plushies, but I do thoroughly enjoy Friendship Is Magic for its propensity for excellent writing (mostly), terrific voice acting and wholesome purity. Being a Christian, it is difficult to find programming which is not rife with vulgarity and boundary pushing; just to be edgy and produce shock value. Imagine my shock to fine, back in 2012, superb writing in a show aimed at children. Many aim the bar low, since the target audience is too young to care or notice, but episodes such as Lesson Zero and Feeling Pinkie Keen show depth beneath the zaniness. Twilight attempting to understand Pinkie's Pinkie Sense, while invariably a disaster, did keep in line with her character seeking knowledge.

Thankfully, my friends are open-minded towards my love for this show; one of them showing great interest and being genuinely impressed that such a show, for children, exists.

I was writing an Equestria Girls fanfic awhile back, but found that it was going nowhere fast and scrapped the thing.

If I think of more to add in here, I shall do so in the reply section.
